The stalemate on the square breaks when the beep is heard. Like a call to action, both sides start fighting, each trying to throw the other off the square.
A six people from different teams decided to team up against Tih's group. Even with a number disadvantages they're from the older generations and thought they'd be able to handle nine kids and a skinny adult.
What they didn't notice was that five of those kids are the aces of the new generation and another is the champion of the newcomer's tournament. Though, even if they knew this information, they might still look down on them for their lack of experience.
Either way, it was their mistake. Although Sherlock, Kai, Lucien, and maybe even Pierre are on the weaker side, and Tih not participating in the fight, Henri can handle one guy and the other four can handle the other five working together.
Even if they have one teammate with them, their other teammates are strangers. They have no sense of coordination as a whole, giving Victor, Theodore, Abel, and Basile who are specialized in hand-to-hand combat an advantage. Adding Sherlock, Kai, and Lucien's (if little) help, they managed to push three people off before the squares closed up. The leftover opponents immediately retreated, knowing they weren't their match.
Rounds continued on, fights with others increased, and less people were left atop the platform and the question difficultly seemed to increase. Other that Tih's group of ten, only three people are left. Given five seconds of time, the next question appears.
[x^3+y^3+z^3=42 y=?]
Now, this is realistically impossible to answer unless you're a math genius with an IQ of over two-hundred or have seen the answer to this exact problem before.
Unfortunately, this is something Kai doesn't have stored in his hard drive of a brain. They've already made a plan for this type of situation and that's to guess.
They each split up to a different square, increasing their chances of someone getting it right. The doors open and everyone except one singular person falls through. That person isn't from Tih's team, but someone from a random team in rank twenty-three.
With that, the game is over. Scores are tallied and shown on screen.
[1. Poseidon 864 points
2. Pacifica Rimus 722 points
3. Golden Lantern 701 points
.... ]
For this game, the way the scoring system worked, first place would be given [50 points]. Those that lost at the same time would be grouped together and given the same place.
For example, there were twelve people in second place. Each person would receive [49 points]. The group in third place would then all receive [38 points], and so on.
Since ten of those twelve people in second place are from Tih's team, they earned a total of [490 points]
The second to last game is set up below. Two comically large cylinders are hovering above the air next to each other. They turn inwards, looking like they're about to flatten the participants, but looking straight down the middle, one could see that there's just enough space for two people to slip through.
The surface of the terrain is made up of random patches of different terrain. One part could be snowy, but would turn into sand. It could be rocky and change into icy or slimey.
Now according to all rules of science, some of these terrains should be physically impossible. The sand does not fall from the sky even though gravity should be willing it to, but if you were to step into it, it would create an indent just like regular sand.
This is all thanks to one scientist that recently created a device to control this phenomenon. Same thing goes with the snowy bad slimey regions, except the slime had been invented long ago.
They're allowed to use their own weapons, and the game is to remain on the cylinders. There was originally only going to be one cylinder, but there were too many people so they're split into two, a hundred fifty for each side, fighting to last the longest.
Commenter: Author, these point systems are confusing, and why is there a different one each game?
