Just like he said, Kouga was there the next day. He was kept up all night thinking about the half demon. Inuyasha's whole situation was bizarre to him. How can he change so much? The peculiarities turned into frustration. He only knew one way to take care of frustration, and that is violence like yesterday. A minor case in his opinion, but today he was totally calm.Kouga sat on the window frame staring at Inuyasha as he worked. He worked diligently completing his work at a surprisingly fast rate. His handwriting was looked good too. Shocking since Inuyasha was an illiterate fool before, he could only read few simple words thanks to the fact he grew up in a human village with his mother. He had picked up on some letters but nothing more. Kouga didn't know that, just that he was illiterate like himself.
Then again there wasn't any need for scholars and writing for demons. There wasn't any use for it. It didn't give them more power, make them strong, or give them food and water. It was completely useless. Demons formed from humans that knew how to read or write had that knowledge, but they never really used it. No demon went out of their way to read and write, very few at the most. There have been cases of demonic art but that's the closest to using literature any demon has got.
Staring at Inuyasha with curiosity. He peered over his shoulder, sat in front of him or at his side. Either way, it didn't matter how or where Kouga sat he still was unable to read the text. The only thing Kouga managed to do was annoy him. Changing his position again was drawing the last straw out of Inuyasha's patience. He had enough.
"Is there a reason why you're here?" He asked coldly.
"I just wanted to know what you do now since your a 'changed' man." He said picking up his ink block and grinding stone. Inuyasha huffed trying his best to ignore his frustrating antics. Kouga clanked the ink block on the stone trying to get the ink to come out. The black-haired man took the ink block and stone out of his hands and set it back on the table.
"Don't touch anything."
It was like taking care of a child but less cute. He never remembered Moroha messing around with everything, annoying him like that. There were very few times he could remember her making a fuss. Brushing aside Inuyasha's orders Kouga still insisted on moving around.
"Hey, how did you learn to write?"
"From the old man." He responded. Kouga picked up a jade pendant on top of some books and played with it.
"What old man?"
"The previous Daimyo.""He knew you weren't human?" Kouga held the white jade pendant to the light shining through the window. The ornate piece of jade was attached together with white jade beads, blue gem beads and a singular gold bead. It was all tied together with a white string.
"Yeah, he knew from the beginning that's why he approached me to begin with." He mumbled.
"Was this that man's pendant?" Inuyasha raised his eyebrow confused about what he was talking about. He looked up to see Kouga holding the piece of white jade. Inuyasha snatched it out of his hands.
"I said to not touch anything!" Inuyasha's hair began to grow white and his fangs seemed to sharpen. The scent of dog began to increase rapidly.
"Your hair." Kouga pointed to his head not particularly scared of him. As he did Inuyasha's eyes went wide and he bought some of his hair in his hand. It was indeed turning white again. Without hesitation, the man closed his eyes and took deep breathes leaving Kouga confused.
"Inuyasha?" The wolf demon questioned.
Inuyasha kept taking deep calming breathes and his hair went back to what it was; pure black, like an abyss. Once he opened his eyes he looked at Kouga displeased.
