After All This Time

Ch.10 Nerve wrecking

It was afternoon, only about 2-3 hours before the Banquet will take place. There, Lord Hashigawa and Sir Katashi will be introduced to the minor lords and all the important figures of the province. During this time Kouga also most commonly known by the inhabitants of the Fujimura Province as the "tamed wolf demon".

Along with wanting to meet the famed "Hero" Isamu Hashigawa, most were intrigued to learn more about this mysterious strong wolf demon. After all he's the pet of their beloved Daimyo how could they not want to know? Their lord keeps the demon close to him and his family and values it as if it was part of it. Even Lord Masami seems to be accepting with the demon. There wasn't a person in the province that wasn't dying to see this pet.

At this moment Inuyasha was currently standing outside a spare room waiting for Kouga to come out. Since everyone was going to be wondering about the wolf demon and to get some old privileged men to shut up, he asked for Kouga to wear some formal clothes for the banquet. It will give the appearance of I-have-been-tamed-and-now-I'm-a-corporate-slave.

Masami requested to put a collar around his neck but Inuyasha felt that would be too much. Yua requested that Kouga should sit in Inuyasha's lap to be more assertive. This was deeply considered by Kouga but they said that would still be too much. The best solution that was made by Inuyasha and his daughter was to have him follow Inuyasha around and wear human clothes. That would be enough. If his personality were to change out of the blue than Lord Hashigawa might get suspicious.

They would just have to make sure that Kouga was quieter around them and didn't do anything rash. After Kouga's promise to the half demon, he was sure that he wouldn't pull anything.

Inuyasha is now worrying about if Kouga was able to put on the robes properly. He had offered to help dress him but Kouga refused. It was embarrassing to have the Inuyasha dress him. Inuyasha offered for Masami to help him and Kouga seemed to consider it. Inuyasha thought it was stupid that he would consider Masami when it was Inuyahsa who was the closest to him. It annoyed him a bit, but Kouga ultimately said he would just do it himself.  

"Kouga, are you sure you don't need help?" He asked leaning against the door.

"No! I'm good! I'm almost done." Kouga yelled from the other side. Inuyasha huffed, the anticipation was making him a bit impatient. He began to wonder if the clothes were too small, or maybe they looked off. He wouldn't have time to have something tailored to his size so close to the event. He couldn't stop thinking about the final product.

"I'm done." Kouga said in a low tone.

A bit off from how he usually speaks. Few seconds later the door slowly slide open and Kouga walked out. Inuyasha took a deep breath thinking about how he could finally see the wolf demon. He lifted his head, and once he saw the wolf demon, he was unable to look away.

Kouga had a minor blush, probably because he wasn't sure how he looked. He wore black robes with red lining and details. Not something as fancy as Inuyasha's since the wolf demon was supposed to be posing as a pet. Even so, he looked very handsome, or at least Inuyasha thought so.

"Is it on right? I did my best with it." Kouga asked. "Why is it so heavy and long. I can't move properly. How do you move while wearing this stuff?"

He looked like a child flailing their arms through the robes. It confused him on why this much clothing was needed since it would make it harder to fight, run, etc. All of it was so constricting and he wasn't even able to move his tail freely. His clothes before just comprised out of a mini fur skirt, fur (leg warmers, socks ?¿), and some armor. Inuyasha let out small chuckle as he watched Kouga try and find some comfortable way into the new clothes.
