"They put me on palliative care." My mother said in a breathy voice, you could hear her about to cry. "They expect three months. Six if we were to put me on medications."

"We have to then." I stated, confidently.

When my mother broke her own heart, I watched as she tried to reassemble it. She can't be thrown away by luck of the draw. She's better than so many people in this world.

"No, honey, I don't want to be drugged up on the last three months of my life. I want to be me when I pass." She stated, choosing her words carefully.

"So, this is it? You expect me to go on? I won't. You know that right?" I heaved, loosing my focus. I couldn't help but feel myself cry. "You better be doing Hospice Care at home. I refuse to be apart from you for that long."

"Of course, I wouldn't have it any other way. The house better be clean!" She laughed, keeping her arms wide to embrace me into a hug. I laughed, feeling tears swell up in my eyes, I walked up to her and wrapped my arms around her.

"Hello there, my darlings." I walked into work, with a beautifully fake smile and fake cheer. I always came into work with a positive motive. I waved towards everyone, shuffling past my desk and straight ahead to Fukuzawa's office. Naomi, Atsushi and Junichiro had been out of the office.

I knocked on the door to signalise that I had something to share.

"Who's there?" The male voice responded.

"It's Y/N, sir." I called, making sure to sound formal enough.

"Oh, come in." His voice seemed calm, I opened the door and lightly bowed towards him to where he was seated in his office. "What did you need?" He asked, staring at me, trying to figure out what I was going to say next.

"I actually have something I need to talk to you about." I stated, Fukuzawa nodded and motioned for me to take a seat in front of him. I obliged and carefully crossed one of my legs over the other.

"So, what is it that you need?" Fukuzawa asked, a singular eyebrow raised in my direction. After my father had left my mother, she turned to her old friend Fukuzawa for guidance and help. He helped us get on our feet, he gave my mother a job which she had to resign after some time.

"It's my mother." I said calmly. He seemed uneasy as soon as those words had left my mouth. "I'm not sure if you were made aware, however, she was put onto palliative care." His eyes became soft and caring.

"I see, well, you should take the week off. Go look after her." He said, telling me in a very strict manner that honestly scared me a little more than it should have. But let's be honest, who wouldn't be scared?

I simply nodded, thanked him and walked out into the office.

"I hope you all miss me in silence, I will be back next week." I said, bowing and blowing kisses into the air, pretending to wish my audience goodbye.

That week was spent in the most productive, yet unproductive at the same time, ways one would say. To anyone who had no context, it would have been completely and utterly unproductive, however to those who knew, it was a very productive week.

Y/N and her mother spent the time watching movies, binging TV series and going over important legal documents and her wishes for after she has passed. Such as a letter addressed to Y/N's father. M/N figured that Y/N would need a higher paying job, so naturally, the best logic of all would be to work for her father.

Being his own flesh and blood, he had to take her in. Right? Unfortunately for Y/N, her lack of knowledge towards her fathers occupation and who he is as a person, would eventually be her very own downfall. It would be her own fault for blood and tears she'll shed. Something she'll have to protest to.

She'll never fit in, she'll never truely be accepted and worst of all, she'll forever be alone. In her own never ending darkness, as her corrupt spirit will eventually come to light due to the dark events that lie in her future. No one can ever truely understand what she'll go through, besides me. As a figure like God, I watch over her, I choose her path. If I decide her life should be one of darkness and mental illness, then that's what I should decide.

It's at this point that you've come to her last happy thoughts, her last happy monuments, her final words before she spoke and did poorly. Before her demons inside screwed with her. Before everyone turned their back on her. Before she become what she feared the most.

Her father.

A dreadful monster really, someone that antagonists should aim to model themselves after. A truely horrid creature that even makes shivers run down my spine. As the months flew past, she never did forgive herself for leaving her alone the day she passed

I don't think you would forgive yourself either, yet, her last documented words were sweet and simple, yet complex and complete mind fuckery if you tried to ponder her meaning.

"You know, I truely am content with loneliness, I don't think I can wait for forever loneliness."

Those words, seem simple but deeper inside was a dark soul, without a shoulder to cry on and without a love to have and without a true meaning to life besides hard ships that never lead to happiness. There was no rainbow on that rainy day.

M/N had left her a written letter, for her father.

'My previous love,

You'll have met our daughter by now. Gorgeous and grown, she has grown much since you last saw her. At the small age of about six. You're reading this letter because I have passed and she needs to be able to look after herself.

I beg you, give her a higher paying job and keep her safe. She'll be useful to you. Please Ogai, you must.

Sincerely,

M/N L/N.'

Y/N never did read that letter. Let's hope she never does.
