░▒▓█ An unusual day

That son of a bitch, I'm going to fucking kill him. I don't give a single fuck if he's my father, he can suck my metaphorical dick, wait no, he shouldn't do that. That's incest, gross right?

"I'LL maKe SuRe ThE eXeCtUtIvE tRaInS yOu"

Bullshit, I'm sitting here having tea with Elise. She loves me and I hate it. I was offered a high paying babysitting job, is that or is that not the most bullshit thing you've ever heard? Personally it makes me want to currently die, it's like I'm not worth more, well I'm not but it's insulting.

Mori left me with Elise to buy her dresses and keep her company while he relaxes and waits for us to return. So we can all have a tea party, together. I'll pull the trigger on him, if someone loads the gun and cock it. I keep constantly telling myself to not cave to the pressure, I'm breaking down like fractions.

I can't believe this but I miss Kunikida's nagging, currently I'm sitting on a long dinning room table, a spread of tea and sweets laid upon the table's lace table cloth. Elise was wearing a dress we had picked out today, it was silk and very cute. I, at the behest of Elise, was forced to wear something nice because, and I quote, 'if I have to look like this so do you' that's just great.

She got to choose the dress, because if I refused she would threaten to cry and tell Mori. We both know very well that Mori probably isn't the fondest of me. She picked out a pale yellow dress with lace details, very simple. Elise and Mori talked consistently, leaving me to my ever growing anxious thoughts while they drank teas and ate cakes.

"Y/N!" Mori called my name, clicking his fingers in front of me to take me from my thoughts. "What do you think?" He asked.

"Of what?" I asked, he knew well I wasn't paying attention but that shouldn't be my fault they're incredibly boring and weren't including me in their boring conversations.

"The plan I just discussed." He said, trying to emphasise a point which meant nothing to me, how on earth does he expect me to procrastinate and listen to their bullshit conversation? "Fine, allow me to retell the plan." Mori sighed, clearly disappointed. "Executive Nakahara is on his way, he'll be taking you with him to start your training." I looked at him, surprised and overall impressed. "What? I always, well, mostly, keep to my word."

"No, I'm just surprised that I wasn't being going to be caring for Elise 24/7." I stated truthfully, giving Elise a small smile which she returned happily.

"Well, since I recruited you, take this." He slid a walkman to me from his side of the table, it looked used and old. Inside of it was a cassette labelled '60s to 80s' it looked, well, over used and if I had to say, upon further inspection, would have been made around the late 70s. "It was mine as a teenager, I think you should keep it safe."

"Thank you, it's very cool, but why am I getting this?" I asked, taking out the cassette and turning it around.

"Well, a tradition amongst the organisation is for the recruiters of new members to gift them something of theirs, for safekeeping per se." He stated. "For example, Dazai recruited Chuuya, so he gave him a hat, it belonged to someone that Chuuya had well...previous history with, you could say." I slipped the cassette back into the walkman.

"Well, I'll take good care of it then." I smiled towards him, as if on cue, a knock is sounded throughout the room.

"That must be Chuuya." Mori clasped his hands together and called for him to enter. I started fixing my posture a bit and quickly ran a hand through my hair to fix it a bit. Jesus Christ what am I even doing?

"Sir. Elise. Y/N?" He asked, looking towards me with a strange look.

"Ah, Chuuya, this is Y/N...L/N." He says looking at me to see my shocked facial expression. He isn't even happy to use his own last name, the one I was burdened with because my mother believed he would come back one day. Spoiler, he didn't and she was made to change her last name back to her maiden name by Yumiko, simply because Yumiko couldn't bare to see my mother like that. "I owed her mother a long time ago, right around the time of the Great War."

"Oh, why is she here then?" Chuuya asked, his eyes wandering over to me from Mori every once and awhile. "I thought she was working for the dogs at the Armed Detective Agency."

"She was." He stated carelessly. "Her mother asked me, if she passed, I would give her a high paying job. So, I want you to train her so she can work for it." Mori said simply. "Her mother passed very recently to give you some context." He paused and started again. "Oh, and don't go easy on her, go take her to find some more suitable clothes and show her to her room, it should be labelled with her name."

"Anything else?" Chuuya asked, motioning for me to walk to him with one flick of his finger. I immediately got up and bowed towards Elise and Mori.

"Yes, actually, you should start tomorrow morning. Bright and early, I'm sure Elise has tired her out." Mori commented. "You may go." Chuuya and I bowed for a final time and started walking out of the lavishly large room that Mori squandered.

It was a long and silent walk from the top to the other floors, he gave me a short tour saying a few words to explain the different floors and their purpose. We had finally come to my room, it was cut off from everyone else, it was dim and cold. Chuuya took one look and his expression changed entirely. The room, to me, was familiar and strangely comforting.

"You should find some clothes in the wardrobe, I suggest getting changed and probably just go to sleep or something." Chuuya casually says, his facial expression was unbothered.

"So we're just going to pretend that we're strangers?" I ask, looking through the wardrobe, trying to sort out different clothes for different reasons. Holy shit those boots are cute as shit, I think I might just keep those. Oh wait...this is my closet...jokes?

"I don't involve myself with people from my work. People like you have to stay here, cut off from everyone else. Can't believe they stuck you down here." He scoffed. "This room is where Q used to stay, hidden away from everyone else during training."

"Who's Q?" I asked, daring to not look in his eyes.

"Let's hope you never have to find out." Chuuya blankly stated. "This room is disgusting, I doubt you'll be let out for your own enjoyment." He admitted. "Hey look at that the walls have been cleaned off."

"From what?" I inquired, feeling a chill down my spine. He nodded his head towards a box of chalk and crossed his arms, leaning against the doorframe. The box looked damaged, it was clear and had been ruined severely, like it hadn't been touched in quite a while.

"You'll soon find out." He commented. "Why couldn't you of had a normal job?" He asked the rhetorical question. He walked out of the room, not saying another word.
