My lower half felt heavy — soaked in liquid. My closed eyelids opened slowly, heavy with sleep. Bright, white hanging lips blinded my sensitive eyes, making me blink a few times. I tried to get up but I couldn't move.

Looking around, I noticed I was in a grocery store — in the medicine aisle. I looked down to see the heaviness on my legs was a dark liquid soaking my sweatpants. Then I felt the pain, excruciating pain come from my stomach as if my belly was being ripped open.

I screamed, seeing my worst nightmare come true. My stomach was cut open — blood everywhere — revealing two babies inside. I whimpered as I moved to lift them carefully in my arms, my emotions slightly calming down when I saw how calm they were — so peaceful.

But then...

It disappeared.

And was replaced with blood. The blood-soaked my clothes entirely as I screamed frantically looking for where the little angel went. I tried to wipe the blood off of me but it just kept coming back and so did the pain.

"You fucking deserve it! You fucking bitch!"

I flew up from Lorenzo's arms — completely awaking and alerting him — my legs scrambling to run towards the bathroom as I felt a stinging sensation in my throat. I fell to my knees in front of the porcelain toilet, my mouth disposing of the bile.

"Hey whoa! Baby," I heard Lorenzo's raspy morning voice say. He slid down beside me, taking a handful of my hair and holding it out my face. His other hand went to my back patting it gently, cooing reassuring words. "Do I need to give you a pregnancy test or some tea and water?"

I spit into the toilet, pulling myself up with help from Lorenzo. Once I got the taste of bile out my mouth I sighed exhaustedly leaning against the sink with my hand over my belly. My stomach was still in knocks after my horrible nightmare — growling and gurgling. By the look on Lorenzo's face, he wasn't happy with what had just happened.

"Baby, are you okay? You-You we're sweating. Heavily," He stepped forward to pull me into his embrace, regarding my sweaty state. "And you're burning up. Baby, you need to sit down."

"No-No, I'm okay." I muttered tiredly, shaking my head in protest.

"No your not," Lorenzo sternly said handing me the clear blue, pregnancy test. "Take it. You know you need to."

I shook my head, tears welling in my eyes. It had been two weeks since the moment in the pool we had. And I already knew what was sort of wrong with me other than the constant nightmares. I just didn't want to acknowledge it because I was scared to have a repeat of last time. It may not have entirely been my fault — but I played a part in the passing of our baby. It was partially my fault that he or she is gone.

"I-I can't...Lorenzo I-"

"Baby, Please. We can't avoid this. We can't allow what Chase did to our baby hold us back from having another one. I love you and I would never force you to do something you want, if you're not ready for the baby..." He paused taking a big gulp, swallowing hard. "We can put them up for adoption..."

He handed me the small box that held our future in it. I took it with unsteady hands, looking down at the box with blurry, watery eyes. "Lorenzo...I-I..."

He took my hands into his large one, cupping them together carefully. "Please baby. We can't live like this anymore."

I let out a shaky breath before nodding. He kissed my head before leaving and I carefully skimmed the instruction. I peed on the stick, wiping and then capping the stick again. I munched at my fingernails as I patiently waited for two minutes to expire. My mind racked with concern and worry, I felt like my chest was tightening.
