It was the next morning. The grey skies from yesterday had darkened and it was stormy outside.

I quickly got ready and headed down to the Slytherin common room. Draco was at the table reading over a letter, presumably from his mother.

"Hello darling," he said as he saw me walking down.

Darling? That's new. "Hey Draco, you're in a good mood. Get something from your mom?"

"Yeah actually, but we can talk about that later let's go get something to eat."

He's probably just in a good mood, he and Astoria just broke up a couple of weeks ago, but this week his moods been a lot better.

We made our way down to the great hall for breakfast. It wasn't too full but it surely wasn't empty either.

I seated myself next to Draco in our usual area but Blaise and Pansy were nowhere to be found. They were probably just sleeping in but I didn't mind, Draco always put on an act around them.

Breakfast was going normally, we were joking around and Draco was taking my mind off of Neville, well mostly.

"Oh come on I am better at potions than you," i stated crossing my arms.

"No you're not, that is the most ridiculous thing you've said all day." He replied, looking dead into my eyes.

"You only get higher marks because Snape actually likes you," I rolled my eyes in response.

"Oh come on Snape favors everyone in Slytherin,"

"Draco you know he treats me differently shut up," I stated, going back to take another bite of my pancakes.

"You're so dramatic," he states as he rolls his eyes.

I look over at the Gryffindor table, Neville isn't there. I take a breath and look up at Draco puzzled. "What?"

I can tell he had something on his mind but he just raised his brow and smirked.

"You're one of my least favorite people you know that?" I state.

"Oh really?" He replies, placing a gentle finger on my chin on my face and leading me to meet his eyes. God, he is intimidating sometimes. I slowly trail my gaze down to avoid eye contact and stare at his tie. Green.

I roll my eyes and remove his hand from my face. Neville. Neville and his big emerald eyes. They never really leave my mind, they're always creeping in the back of my thoughts.

And even though Draco is probably just bored and messing around with me, I still felt kind of bad. It felt wrong letting my heart feel two different people.

After that weird encounter breakfast went as normal, Blaise and Pansy finally joined us, and eventually it was time for first period.

As we left the great hall, I felt my body collide with something.

I started, "Oh my god im-"

"Watch where you're going Longbottom!" Draco exclaimed.

My cheeks immediately flushed pink. Not just embarrassment, but I was also mad at Draco for speaking to him that way. Still, I collected myself.

"No no, don't listen to him. It was my fault Neville I'm so sorry," I assured the tall boy, looking him in the eyes and a faint smile.

Draco looked at me with a shocked look with slight disgust. "What are you defending him for?"

After collecting the majority of my things I stood up and looked him dead in the eyes, uncomfortably close to his face. I scanned his expression and decided to step back and simply say "I bumped into him Draco, it just wasn't his fault."
