I woke up the next morning determined to finally plan the perfect date for me and Neville.
I wanted it to be just as good as the ones he had taken me on, but something he wouldn't do. Something only I would do. All the dates we'd been on before had been very Neville and I think we were due for a little change. I wanted to take him on an adventure.
Neville was always in his little bubble and popping that may just give him a heart attack but it was gonna be unforgettable.
As I hopped in the shower and started humming my favorite song I heard a knock at my dorm room door. I had no clue what to do so I just hurried my shower routine and hoped they hadn't come in.
I stepped out of the shower, made sure my towel was covering everything, just in case. It was probably Theo, and I know he would just walk away and wait for me in the common room but Draco had let himself in my room from time to time. Hopefully, he was off with Astoria. I can't believe I'm hoping that Draco is with Astoria.
I stepped out of my bathroom and had a damn near heart attack when I saw someone sitting my bed, their back to me.
"MERLIN!" I jumped.
"Sorry! Sorry sorry, I can go if you'd like," Neville said standing up but still not turning around to face me.
"No no, stay, just give me a minute to change."
He sat back down and though I couldn't see his face I could see he was nervously scratching his jaw as I got dressed and put on my uniform and magically drying my hair. I really am happy to see Neville no matter what so I wasn't upset that he was here at all, still I wanted a little payback for the heart attack he gave me.
I shuffled in my drawers a bit so he wouldn't think I was done changing, and then slowly and silently began sneaking to my bed. Once I reached it, I jumped onto the brunette boy, throwing my arms over his shoulders and then my legs around his waist, hugging him from behind.
"Bloody hell!" He exclaimed, slightly jumping up and grabbing my forearm before settling into the hug.
I let out a small laugh, "just wanted to make sure you know how it felt," I teased, placing a kiss on his cheek.
He shook his head, prying my legs off from around him and turning around to face me. "Finally," he said, "I've been waiting all morning to look at you."
I blushed and covered my face with my hands at the statement as it gave me butterflies. He immediately took my hands into his and smiled at me with the most gut-wrenching smile ever seen.
I shook my head, "to what do I owe the pleasure of you visiting me this morning? And how did you even make it in here?"
"Harry's cloak," he replied, "and I already told you, I wanted to see your perfect face," he said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, squeezing my hand slightly.
"Harry let you borrow his cloak?" I asked in disbelief.
"Well," he paused, "I'm just borrowing it really."
I made an 'o' with my mouth, "Nev!" I said in shock but with a smile. He just shrugged. "It's just so unexpected, especially for you at least," I say.
"Anything for you angel," he said, and for a moment we just sat and no one said anything.
I reached into my nightstand drawer and grabbed the small velvet box which held the ring, immediately hiding it in my hands so he couldn't get a good look.
