I could feel a flood forming in my eyes but I held the tears back. The weight of the entire world seemingly lifted off of my shoulders and I bit a happy frown as I looked at him, his eyes, and waited for our next words to be spoken.
This felt, right. Almost perfectly destined as if by the stars. Somehow this room, this room that had 1000 just like it, somehow this room, at this moment, this room was all that mattered.
Nothing else even existed in my mind but him.
"I'm not going to leave you," he said softly.
And that's all it took for tears to escape my eyes. I let them fall as I looked down at my carpet, hiding behind the curtain of my hair.
His hand dipped under my chin to cup my face, using his thumb to wipe some of the tears. He cut me open and I just had to trust he would keep all my pieces safe.
"I'm sorry," I sniffled, trying to keep my tears and sobs silent.
"What ever are you sorry for?" He asked, placing a soft kiss on my nose and pushing my hair out of my face.
"I hate people seeing me like this," I said, wiping the rest of my tears and trying to pull myself together.
"No no no," he comforted, "I love you, and I love seeing every little bit of you."
I let out a small smile and a relieved breath. I knew that things could still change. Everything could change, I'll never know what our future could really be holding but I didn't want to think about the future, just the now.
"You're so worrisome over this," Neville started, "Do you really want to tell everyone about us?"
I sighed, "I don't know, maybe?"
"I don't want you to feel pressured," He added.
"I'm not, I'm just.. oh I don't know what I want."
"Let's not rush into anything until we're 100% ready alright?"
I nodded, noticing how he said 'we' and not just me, "I know we were supposed to go out today but, can we reschedule? Again?" I laughed.
"Did you want to go to the game?" He asked.
I shook my head, "I wanna be with you, we can't sit together in a Gryffindor vs Slytherin."
"But you should support your friends."
I frowned, "I'm not in the mood for a game really."
"Alright, that's okay. What did you want to do then?"
"Can you decide?" I asked. It was only 10 am and I was already feeling drained.
He nodded, "Come on get up," He said, standing up and holding his hand out to help me stand.
I got up and he sat me down on my bed but he didn't sit down next to me. He sat back down on the floor, back against my bed and ducked under my thighs so he was sat between them. I smiled, remembering the first time I did this, and placed a small kiss on his hair.
"You want one braid or two?" I asked with a smile.
"Two if you please," He replied sweetly.
I ran my fingers through his dark waves and parted them perfectly down the center. We fell into a calm, comfortable silence as I worked gently. I was humming and letting the mindless activity numb my mind. This was exactly what I needed.

After a few hours of muggle card games, I look at the clock. 5 pm. The game's about to start
