I probably looked a mess right now but I pretended I was fine. The fresh air outside was sure to help lift my spirits, but that night just kept replaying in my mind.

— flashback —

"Hey Draco," I say kindly and cheery, "What's up?"

"Hello," he said in a tone of annoyance.

"Oh my god for once Draco drop the attitude," I said in a harsh whisper, whipping my head to face him. This boy had been testing me way too much lately.

"You sound really upset at someone who covered your ass last period," he said matching my tone.

I felt a small wave of embarrassment come over me. I guess he is a good friend.

"I-, I'm sorry Draco, thank you, I didn't expect you to have done that for me," I said, trying to sound genuine and apologetic.

"Yeah, that's what I thought. You're welcome."

"Did Pansy try to rat me out?"

He let out a small chuckle, "Yeah who else?"

I went to sit down next to him on the couch, "What a bloody loser why do we need to put up with her," I frown at Draco. He placed a hand on my mid-thigh, "You know the answer to that."

That wasn't exactly true, the only reason I could think of as to why Draco and Pansy are somewhat friends is because she gives him so much attention, and sometimes she does his homework for him. Honestly, it's quite unhealthy how much she's infatuated with that boy.

I simply nodded along to his response and let out a sigh.

"Hey, you're way more important to me than she could ever be you know that?" Draco said as I met his eyes and nodded. I wrapped my arms around his waist and I felt his hand not on my thigh rub my back slightly. I suddenly feel a small touch on the top of my head, where Draco had left a small kiss. I slowly pull back a bit confused and look at him.

After I looked up at Draco's eyes, I saw they were blue. They didn't feel the same comforting shade of green that I was just looking into an hour ago.

Before I could open my mouth and say anything, Draco leaned in and touched his lips to mine. For a moment I just sat there, my mind couldn't comprehend what was happening. It was all so fast, but it only took me a second to find myself again.

I pull back and furrow my brow, confused.

"Draco I-"

"Shit, I'm so bloody stupid, I'm sorry," he says before I could continue, placing his hand on his forehead.

"I'm sorry Draco but," I hesitate, "I really just would like to be friends."

"I know I know, FUCK that was a mistake."

"Hey," I say, resting my hand on his back, "It's okay really, don't stress."

He stood up and started walking towards the dorms. I wanted to say something else but I knew he probably just wanted some space, so I let him go off. As he left my sight my mind started racing, thinking about the boy with green eyes, how incredible today was before Draco got us and made it confusing.

— the present —

I made my way into Greenhouse 2 as quietly as I could. Unlike every other class, Neville stood towards the front in Herbology. I didn't wanna embarrass myself more than I needed too so I stood as far towards the back as I possibly could, trying to blend in.

"Hey Ron, Harry," I whispered.

Ron flinched when he heard my voice, "Bloody hell, hey where have you been?" He whispered back.
