"Okay Ma'am and last question, What's your relation to Mr. Patterson?" The paramedic asked, as the others loaded him into the ambulance.
Julie still flustered, choked out her answer. "Uh..just..close friends."
"Alright Ma'am," He looked down t his clipboard, then back up at her. "Well, you're listed as one of his emergency contacts, so you'll get a call when the doctors has settled this."
The paramedics left, and Nova walked in at the same time.
"Who died?" She asked bluntly
"Nobody died Nova. Something just happened to Luke." She sighed, plopping down on the couch.
"Again? Wasn't the kid just discharged?"
"Yeah, but he'd been complaining about his arm, and then he just passed out."
Nova thought for a second. "Which arm?"
"Uh, his left, why?"
"Isn't your left arm hurting a sign of a heart attack?" Nova asked.
Julie thought for a second. "Why would you know that? Where would you ev-"
"It happened to mom." Julia remembered.
Julie brought her hand to her mouth. "Oh my god. Luke had a heart attack. Right in front of my eyes. This is my fault."
"Hey.." Nova started. "Don't beat yourself up."
"How could I not? He told me he was in pain, I knew the symptoms, I've been through this before, why am I so stupid?" Julie sighed.
"Julie, you're not stupid, don't put the blame on yoursel-"
"Who else can I put the blame on?" Julie snapped, her voice raising
"His heart? I don't know! You had nothing to do with this, and his system?" Nova said, yelling in response.
"I could've prevented it!" Julie retorted.
"Julie, you're not a doctor, you can't prevent a heart attack."
"How would you know? Were you here? No, you were out partying with your friends! So don't sit there and tell me what I could and couldn't have done. I doubt you would've cared."
Nova laughed bitterly. "Well, I'm sorry for trying to make you feel better. Do whatever you want. Sit here and beat yourself up, Let me know if it helps." Nova walked towards Julie, and stuck her finger out at her. "And how dare you accuse me of not caring. I've been through this, we've been through this, you think I wanna see anyone go through what our parents did? Some girlfriend you are." She said, walking away from her, hitting her shoulder in the process.
Julie's face fell into her hands, and she plopped back down on the couch. "Now, I've got an upset sister and a dude with heart issues. Way to go Julie." She whispered dryly to herself
At that moment, Julie's phone lit up, and she saw she had a missing message.

I'm in a trance to be honest. I'm just gonna get some rest, see you tomorrow Care.
The conversation ended, and Julie went back to her room to get some sleep. She was gonna attempt to get some sleep.

Julie had tossed and turned all night. She had some much on her plate, she couldn't even close her eyes for a second.
She decided she wasn't going to go into work today. She'd rather not go at all then waste 45 minutes of her students lives.

Julie had just woken up, and Nova was now leaving for work.
Just before Nova left, Julie called out for her. "Oh Nova, are you going anywhere this afternoon? Cause I'll be here."
"I'm going to the mall with my friends, I need some more stuff. But that doesn't shock you right? Cause apparently all I care about is hanging out with my friends?"
"Nova, I didn't mean it like that, let me explain-"
"Sorry, I gotta get to work!" She said, rushing out the door.
"Nov-" The door slammed before Julie could finish. She sighed, and sat back down on the couch.
At this point, she was getting reckless waiting for the phone call. It seems as if days had passed by.
Julie's phone lit up once more, and she hoped it was a message from the hospital, but it was just Carrie.
