"Quirkless. That one word danced around in my head as the news began to set in. I was quirkless. In a world where 80% of the global population has quirks. Where most of the quirkless 20% are in the older generations. Where the chances of being born quirkless are less than 1%, I was quirkless. What does this mean about my family? Will they forget about me? Will they hate me because I'm quirkless? What about Kacchan and Katsumi? WIll they hate me because I'm quirkless? W-what about Izumi! Is she going to abandon me because I'm quirkless? Will she hate that I exist because I'm powerless in a world where having power is normal?"
Narrator P.O.V
Before young Izuku could get a single question out, he was met with the gaze of his family. At first he was scared. He thought they were mad at him. He thought they were disgusted with him just because he was different. He thought that until his mother bent down to hug him. At first he was confused. Weren't they supposed to be mad at him for being quirkless? He didn't know what he should be doing. It was after his mother had ended the hug that he was able to see that the gazes they were giving him were not ones of contempt or hate. They were gazes of concern and worry. He could see that each of their eyes had a mix of concern, worry, and acceptance. It was then that young Izuku realized the truth. They weren't mad at him, why would they ever be! Instead, they were worried for him! It was clear that they were just as shocked at the news as he was. But they weren't just going to give up on him.
Izuku P.O.V
When mom ended her hug Izumi hugged me next. I could hear she was crying, and I don't know why. Why cry over a quirkless? It just didn't make any sense.
Izuku/Izumi P.O.V
"I-Izumi... Are you-"
"It's going to be ok, Izuku. It's going to be ok."
"Wh-what's going to be ok?"
"Everything. Everything is going to be ok. I'm not going to abandon you. I'm not going to hurt you. I promised you that a long time ago and I'm not going to break that promise."
"B-but aren't quirkless people useless?"
"Nobody is useless brother! And you being quirkless doesn't make you any less than anybody else! If anyone tells you that, they're wrong! I don't care what anyone else says either! You are my everything Izuku. I'll stay by your side until the end. We have an unbreakable bond."
Narrator P.O.V
As the family was making their way home, the twins refused to separate from one another. Not that their parents bothered to even try. They had already made up their minds about what they intended to do. They would train them both, together as they had always intended. They wouldn't dare attempt to break the bond their children shared. Instead, they opted to strengthen it and them together. They can only hope that others will be as accepting as they are.
