Unbreakable Bond

U.A entrance exam prologue

Izuku was uncomfortable. Despite how heroic he is, he's still somewhat shy. He's not yet used to hundreds of eyes being on him consistently. Regardless of this, he can't let that get to him. It doesn't matter that hundreds of students are here for a chance at getting into the most well known and prestigious heroics school in Japan. It doesn't matter that many of them seem to have incredibly powerful quirks and seem more than confident. It doesn't matter that he's somewhat terrified about what might happen. Izuku is going to be brave today! And to mark this bravery he's going to show, he's going to bravely hide from the hundreds of eyes by squeezing himself between Izumi and Katsuki.

"I thought you were gonna be brave today Izu? Hiding between Kacchan and I doesn't exactly give off that aura of confidence and bravery after all."

"W-well everyone is s-s-staring at us and I don't-"

"Damn it Izuku! Yesterday was the last day you could've gotten away with this! Out from the shield and into the glares you fucking nerd!"

Izuku was more preoccupied with his conversation with Izumi that he forgot about Katsuki. Izumi was more prone to being gentle with Izuku when his anxieties and fears took over. Katsuki on the other hand had a sink or swim mindset. Except it wasn't sink or swim and he would just tie a 5 ton weight to you and push you into the Tokyo Bay and demand you free yourself and learn to swim.

"Bakugou! That's no way to talk to someone!"

"Shut it four eyes! This is for the nerds' own good!"

While Ida and Katsuki were having their minor argument, Shoto was seemingly falling asleep while Shouka and Katsumi continued on their way to the U.A auditorium for the written exam. Izumi was inclined to follow them but also didn't want to go in without Izuku at her side. Izuku though was busy trying to stop Katsuki and Ida's argument from escalating.

'Why can't we just have a somewhat normal day?'

Izumi quickly brought her thoughts to a close before stepping in to drag Izuku with her into U.A. Before Izuku even fully understood what was happening, Izumi had grabbed his wrist and began dragging Izuku with her towards U.A. She didn't care that people were staring at her and her small group. She didn't care that this could give her a bad name. She didn't care what people might've been thinking. All she cared about was getting this done.

(Izumi) "Come on Izuku. We're not going to be late for something this important! Remember what we promised each other? That we'd both make it into U.A?

(Izuku) "Huh? Wh-what about Kacchan and Ida? We can't just leave them or else they'll cause a scene again!"

(Izumi) "Just like last time they caused a scene they can solve it without us Izu. Kaachan is just being extra and Ida is unintentionally feeding into Kaachans rage. You can either walk with me or I'll drag you in."

Izuku didn't really have much of a choice in the matter. If he tried to resist and calm down Katsuki and Ida, Izumi would not so gently drag him away. Izuku had to concede defeat to Izumi this time. Izumi was more than happy with the outcome though. As soon as she saw that Izuku was giving in, she let go of his wrist and ushered him ahead of her. Katsumi, Shouka and Todoroki would have been the first of the group to enter had Shinso not beaten them by roughly 4 hours. Shortly after, Izuku and Izum joined the group. Katsuki and Ida followed 3 minutes later alongside an unfamiliar face. It seems that during Ida and Katsukis scuffle, they were broken up by another examinee named Ochako Uraraka. The group was quick to become acquainted. Izumi seemed to take a significantly stronger liking towards Uraraka than the others due to her quirk being somewhat similar to Izumis if you squint your eyes and rapidly move your fist towards your own face. Anyways, as the auditorium started to quiet down, a familiar voice was heard from our small group. How could they forget Present Mic? Izuku was known to word vomit about Pro Heroes to anyone who would listen (even if it was against their will) and Present Mic was a Pro Hero Izuku enjoyed talking about quite often. They also got to listen to him for roughly a week on top of hell training but that's neither here nor their. Mics exposition wasn't as long winded as many would have feared. Maybe he lost a bet and had to shorten his explanations for a while? None of them knew for sure. They were sure to clap and cheer when no one else would after Mic's introduction and exposition. Hopefully that would make his day just a little bit brighter.

What mattress now though is how the group was separated. Against the will of certain individuals, Nezu split the group. Izuku, Ida, and Uraraka were put into Zone A. Katsuki, Shoto and Shinso were put into Zone B while Izumi, Katsumi and Shouka were put into Zone C. The group though was more than content with this being the case. Yes they all worked well together, but they also had specific people they had better synergy with. Izuku for example works better with Izumi or Katsuki than he does with Shinso or Shoto. Katsumi works best with Ida or Shoto while Shouka and Shinso work best together. The group being split like this will more or less force them to work better with who they're the least compatible with. After a short gathering, the group split and began heading for their designated zones.
