Enala
After the shaky and very touchy boat ride that I'm probably never doing again in my life, we found the perfect picnic spot.
Well arjun found the perfect spot.
He couldn't stop bragging about it.
It was right beside the river but on the other side. We laid out our fancy blanket that arjun had got and we sat down. I wanted to sit away from Deepak.
I don't want it to be more awkward between us than it already is.
Shawn and Arjun sat beside each other and I wanted to run inbetween them and sit. I don't care if I'm being the kabab me haddi right now.
Just as I was about to go and sit there, deepak called out to me.
"Nala, come sit here", he said patting the place next to him.
Um.
I looked back at shawn and Arjun, who now placed the basket between them and smirked in unison. Such mean bastards.
So what other option did I have.
I slowly walked next to deepak and sat down crossing my legs, making sure to keep enough distance between him and I. He looked at me puzzled, but didn't ask anything.
Arjun pulled out the speaker he got with him and placed it in the center playing slow romantic songs.
Why arjun. Just why.
Shawn opened the basket and pulled out all the food we got. I leaned forward and took out the plates and started slicing through the peach cobbler, still on all fours.
"Nala you are giving Deepak such an amazing view", whistled arjun.
Eh? What view?
I turned behind and looked at Deepak all flustered and red. He was looking down playing with a blade of grass.
I then realised.
Shit. That view!!
I immediately sat back down blushing while arjun and shawn starting laughed their asses off. Idiots.
I huffed and sat with my hands crossed in front of me.
"You look super cute when you're like this. So red, like a cherry", laughed arjun.
"Shut up arjun", I said.
"Okay now slice this up. None of us know what to do", he said still smirking.
"No", I said furrowing my eyebrows and glaring at him.
"I'll do it", said Deepak getting up from him place and slicing the cobbler.
Ofcourse he will. He knows how to bake. He knows how to slice a cobbler properly but he won't tell me.
Don't be nosy nala. He'll tell you if he wants to.
I just sat there silently until he finished and gave me a slice as well.
I took it and immediately filled my mouth with it hoping not to make conversation at all.
"So Nala bear, tell me about yourself. I don't know anything about you now that I think about it", smiled arjun.
I will poison his cupcake tomorrow I swear.
I was chewing as slowly as possible. I looked at Deepak who was smiling at me.
Oh jeez.
"Um.. there's nothing much about me actually", I said awkwardly.
