Chapter 33

Deepak

Three days. Three horrific long days.

I've been away from my girl for three days and I'm already craving her. Her touch, her gentle embrace, her soft lips on mine, her tiny fingers running through my hair, her beautiful eyes looking into mine and that gorgeous smile of hers that lights up an entire room.

I missed her so much.

I couldn't take being away from her for three days, I've made up my mind that I'm never going away from her again. I'm going to take her with me everywhere.

It took a day longer for me to finish the deal and now I'm finally returning home.

Home finally feels like home with my angel in it.

More than Nala and I talking on the phone, I've spent more time talking to Rahul. He would randomly video call me to show me Nala at the cafe or her in the kitchen. He would send me pictures of her cuddling with floofy or doing something cute.

It only made me miss her more. But I'm glad I didn't leave her alone at home.

I smiled thinking about her and got into my car. I'm going back to my baby.

I picked up my phone and called her.

"Hey darling!", I cooed as soon she said picked the call.

"Deepak!! Come back soon before I kill Rahul", she screamed.

Ouch! No hi baby I miss you.

"What did he do now?", I chuckled.

Rahul's been annoying her so much I wouldn't he surprised if I find him locked outside the house when I return.

"He dyed floofy's ears and tail pink! For some reason floof loves it! He looks like a soft toy now!", She screeched.

Oh no Rahul!

"It's okay babe. It must be pet friendly. He has a dog of his own remember", I said reminding her of Simba.

"If you come home and he's missing, don't forget to check the oven!", She grunted making me laugh.

Not even shawn gets on her nerves this much.

"I'm leaving now honey. I'll see you super soon", I said getting impatient to get home.

"I can't wait for you to come home. Drive safely okay! I love- RAHUL DON'T LICK THAT! Ugh! He's finishing off my brownie batter. I gotta go whoop his ass! I'll see ya", she said cutting the call.

I love her so much!

I chuckled and started the car. Eight hours until I see her.

When I reached home after the long journey, the lights were off. As soon as I switched them on, a pink ball of fur ran towards me from the guest room.

No wonder Nala was so pissed.

Floofy had pink polka dots on his ear and his tail was a shade of baby pink. He actually looked like a soft toy.

I picked him up while he licked my face excited to see me.

"You're back! I missed you!", I heard Rahul scream as he also ran towards me and jumped on me. His legs on either side of my waist.

"Get off before I break my back!", I groaned.

"You don't love me anymore", he said wiping an invisible tear.

"Where's Nala?", I asked.

"I sent her away. I put her in a box and shipped her to Somalia!", He grinned making me roll my eyes and shake my head at his nonsense.
