Chapter 32

Enala

Deepak was leaving to Auckland today for a client meeting. He said he it was a very important client and this deal was huge for the company. But what was most important here is that he's slowly opening up and doing client meetings without Arjun and I couldn't be happier for him.

He's driving there and he'll stay for a couple of days until the deal has closed leaving me alone in the house with his heathen of a friend.

While Deepak and I were getting dressed in his room, I heard Rahul scream.

"Naluuuuuu", he screamed at the top of his voice.

I was so startled that I poked myself in the eye with my eyeliner.

Has this boy swallowed a speaker when he was a child.

"Naluuu", I heard him scream again making Deepak laugh. Where is he even screaming from?

I went into the room he slept in but he wasn't there. When I peeped down from the stairs I saw him digging through the fridge like a rat would dig through the trash bin.

"What is it?", I asked.

"Nalu didn't you make breakfast for me! I have to go for practice and I'm starving", he said holding his belly and pouting.

"I'm coming wait!", I said going back into the room to finish my eyeliner.

"Are you really coming?", He said running behind me wiggling his eyebrows and spreading out his arm.

Ah.

I ran behind Deepak and hid making him chuckle.

"Leave her alone Rahul", he said pushing him away.

Once I made a hearty breakfast to boost my rock hard muscles as said by Rahul, we dropped him off to the stadium and Deepak drove me to the cafe.

I haven't spoken to him about returning back to cricket. I didn't want to overwhelm him and I wasn't sure if he was ready for that conversation yet. But I could see it in his eyes, the way he took a long glance at the stadium. 

"I'll miss you", I heard him say, taking me out of my thinking bubble.

"I'll miss you too love", I said holding his hand and kissing the back of his hand.

"Why won't you just come with me. It'll be like a small vacation for us", he pouted.

"You're going for work honey. I wouldn't want to distract you and it's just two days"

"Two days is too long. What if you fall in love with Rahul in those 2 days?", He said actually looking serious.

"Rahul? If you kindly tell me which jungle you found him from, I'll gladly go drop him back", I scoffed.

He can't be serious about me falling for Rahul.

Oh hell no!

Deepak laughed and stopped the car in front of the cafe. "He's not that bad. Get to know him, you might actually like him", he said smiling at me.

I nodded and kissed his cheek. "Have a safe journey okay? Text me as soon as you reach and call when you're free. Also good luck on the deal", I said hugging him.

"Wait, that's it? No good luck kiss?", He pouted. "I just kissed you here", I said poking his cheek and grinning.

"Nuh uh young lady. Come here", he said holding my face with both his palms and pulling me closer to him. Our lips touched and I could feel the desire burning in him. I slid my fingers through his smooth hair and rested it on the back of his head, pulling his hair and pushing his face closer to me.
