Chapter 1

The hot water loosens my tensions as i stand there and wet my hair. I lazily run a razor over my legs to remove the small growth of hair that has came through on the weekend. As im getting dressed i hear my mum call my name again. I know she is nervous for me to go off to college but honestly this isn't life and death right now. I'm going to miss Kole most of all. Kole is my boyfriend. He is deciding to try out for a sports college that is quite close to home like around a 10 min drive. I am happy for him but i just wish he decided to go to college with me too. Hopefully he will join me at CSU next year. I do wish that he would just come now, especially considering i wont know a single soul in this college.

"Hey, Cali girl."

"Ew Kole. what the fuck?" i playfully punched him. He embraces me into a hug and once he finally gets off of me i pull my hair into a messy bun.

"Mal darling we can wait for you to sort your hair if you want"

My mum always had this thing about me being presentable and i hated her for it. I wish that sometimes she would just let me be me. I walk over to the mirror and put my hair into a high pony after i run a brush through it.

"Better?" i question with a slight attitude but my mother doesn't seem to notice.

"let me get those for you" Kole says and grabs my bags. Planting a quick kiss on my cheek. The butterflies in my stomach do twists and turns in my stomach as i walk to the car. I have no idea what my life will be like the second i walk out that door.

"Hear we are!" my mum squeals with excitement.

The campus look amazing, just as it did on the website. The buildings are old yet look brand new and elegant. Hundreds, if not thousands of people hugging and laughing with one another. This place couldn't look anymore amazing then it already is. I go to the front desk and give my info to the man on the otherside of the main desk and he hands me a key. I already am excited for the freedom from everyone and everything now its time to focus on me and what i want to do with my life.

"Would you mind if i saw your collage room before i go Mal?" mum asks and i nod. Kole follows behind us with a few of my books and pencils as well as many other items that i need for my college work.

"Now make sure you have everything, i don't want you to ruin everything because you forgot one little thing"

"Its C 27 and we are in B 22? okay must be this way" Luckily Kole spots a C printed on a sign at the top of the wall. I'm thankful i only have a few items to bring up here as i can always go shopping when i find a part time job to cover my dorm costs and things.

I walk into my dorm room and there are 2 girls sitting on the bed.

"Hey" The stranger said, showing a smile.

"Im Ellie" the blue haired girl says as she props herself up so she can sit up.

"Hey i'm Malia... bu...but you can call me Mal"

"Welcome to CSU where the dorms are shit but the party's are amazing." The blond haired girl states. Kole and my mother shift as they are so uncomfortable. Ellie walks over to me and embraces me into a hug.

"Just ignore Dona, she can be quite idiotic at times" Ellie giggles.

"I am NOT!" Dona shouts. Just as Dona shouts there is a knock at the door.

"Come in!" Ellie yells and in come 2 boys. My mothers jaw drops. So does mine. CSU is not what i thought it would be boys in the girls dorms and its already the first day. My poor mother looks like she could collapse any minute and Kole looks like he is about to murder someone.

"Hey, you ellies roomie?" The Green haired boy states.

"urm.. yeah... hi im Mal."

"Im harry... Harry Thomas." he says with a smile. "No need to be nervous, you will love it here."

"I'm ready to go guys." Ellie says grabbing her phone. My eyes shift to the dark haired boy. He was leaning against the wall next to my bed. His hair in a silky quiff style that a small bit of hair comes down just above his eyebrow. My eyes travel down slightly, his plain black t shirt and ripped jeans with a leather jacket swung over his shoulder. Tattoos on his arm, they really suit him. I expect him to introduce himself, but he doesn't he just stands idly waiting for Ellie and dona to get ready. He defiantly is a people person like his friend Harry.

"See you around Mal." Harry and Ellie say in unison.

"You are moving dorms!" My mother yells at me.

"I want you no where near these people Malia Joan Heart!"

"MUM I CAN HANDLE MYSELF IM A ADULT. PLEASE STOP BLOWING EVERYTHING OUT OF PROPORTION!" i yell.

"Mal.... calm down please" Kole looks concerned about me. I hate putting him through stuff like this.

"KOLE don't you dare side with her!"

"Get out ! both of you!"

"i'm sorry mal." my mum says she looks hurt. was i too harsh?

"It's okay mum, please just trust me.. Okay?"

"Fine, but the second something goes wrong call me and i will get you moved asap!"

"Deal."

After my mum was finished complaining about party's and boys barging into my room, it was time for her and Kole to leave so that i could settle in.

"I will miss being around you everyday." Kole says.

"I miss you and will try and talk everyday." I promise him.

"I honestly wish you could be here with me." i say snuggling into him. Kole isn't all that much taller than me so i can snuggle into him pretty easily.

"This is the part i've been dreading." Kole states.

"I know i know... i'll text you everyday dont worry."

"No i mean the ride home with your mum" he giggles. I kiss him goodbye and watch them drive off.

Once Kole and my mother are gone i decide to unpack a few things like my books. I only brought a few of the classic romance story's of all time. I decided to major in Art and English. As i want to be an illustrator or publisher one day. Once i unpacked my books i decided before i unpack my clothes im going to go in the shower seeing as its getting late.

The shower takes far too long to get warm, im starting to think it isn't as amazing as i thought... i was hoping to get a hot shower. The shower stall is tiny and practically has a curtain that is pretty much almost see-through. Eventually the shower starts to warm up so i go over my legs again just to keep on-top of them seeing as im going to have a lot of late night study sessions on my own and will probably be really tired to do so. I find my mind drifting to Kole. I miss him so much already and its only been a few hours. I don't know if i will be able to cope much longer without him. Hes a person i trust the most, i need him when times are dark. I finally snap out of my thoughts and get out the shower. i Wrap my towel around myself, I put my key into the door but its already open? Ellie must be back. I walk in the room and see none other then the dark haired boy from earlier.

"You have got to be kidding me!"
