Caspian sat on one of the ledges of Aslan's how, looking out at the open plain.

Soon Doctor Cornelius walked out and joined him.

"Why did you never tell me about my father?" Caspian asked.

"My mother was a black dwarf from the northern mountains. I risked my life all these years so that one day you might be a better king than those before you." Cornelius replied.

"Then I have failed you."

"Everything I told you, everything I didn't... It was only because I believe in you. You have a chance to become the most noble contradiction in history: The Telmarine who saved Narnia."

"I fear... that because of me King Peter will never want to listen to me... I'm part of the reason... Vyla had to endure that."

"Do you know her heritage?"

"I know her father was a Telmarine... I know she's been a friend of my family's for as long as I can remember."

"She's also not fully Telmarine... Like me... She's half Narnian. Her mother, was of a race called the Jinn... Known for their sharp intellect, and extraordinary physical beauty... Known to live thousands of years... and she's the only one left... You're right she has been a friend of your family... Since King Caspian the first... I helped keep her identity a secret and she helped keep mine... She didn't want to leave you all those years ago... But I felt it was safer if she did..."

"She risked her life for us... And now what we need to do... Is hope her sacrifice wasn't in vain." Caspian said standing and walking back into the how.

Peter sat in the stone table room, leaning against the stone table, looking at the image of Aslan carved into the wall. Lucy walked over and sat next to him.

"You're lucky, you know." Peter sighs.

"What do you mean?" Lucy replied.

"To have seen him. I wish he'd just give me some sort of proof."

"Maybe we're the ones who need to prove ourselves to him."

Suddenly Edmund walked in.

"Pete, you'd better come quickly." He said.

Peter and Lucy stood and followed him outside. In the distance, they saw the Telmarine army approaching.
