Clone wars one shots

Jesse

The storm raged outside. I was huddled under my blankets on my bed while I stared outside shivering because of the cold drafts and my fear of storms. I hugged my pillow waiting for Jesse to come home. It had been weeks since I last saw him. I understood his life as a soldier for the Republic was very important for everyone, but I really missed him on long missions and I always silently prayed to the maker that he would come back alive and well. There was a loud clap of thunder followed by a flash of lightning. I screamed and pulled the covers over my head. At this point I was shaking with fear. Just then I heard a knock at the door and I knew it was Jesse. I ran to the door and swung it open to reveal Jesse absolutely soaked.

"Hey sweetheart, I'm back."

"I'd hug you but you're soaking wet."

He chuckled, walked inside and went to my fresher to change out of his wet armor and blacks into something more comfortable. When he got out of the fresher he ran up to me, lifted me up and spun me around. He set me down on the floor and rested his chin on my head laughing. I laughed along.

"What was all that for?"

"Nothing, I just really love you."

"I love-"

A thunderclap interrupted me and I screamed hiding my face in Jesse's chest. I started shaking again, Jesse noticed this and put his arms tightly around me.

"It's alright sweetheart. Nothing's gonna happen to you."

I nodded and tears streamed down my face.

"I know but I've always been scared of storms."

He wiped my tears away and gently kissed my forehead.

"I'm here sweetheart, I'm right here."

I hugged him tightly and I managed to calm myself down enough.

"Can we cuddle in bed Jesse?"

"Of course."

We made our way to the bed and got inside the covers.

"Can you tell me about your latest mission please? I need something to take my mind off of this."

"Sure."

He started telling me about how he met this group of clones with different enhanced abilities called Clone Force 99. One had heightened senses and he was the one in charge, another who was a super genius, another with super strength and the last one with perfect aiming and a perfect sniper who he thought was an asshole. I laughed at this. He then told me how they found out Echo was alive and they were going to get him from Skako Minor. As he told me all about it I felt myself nodding off as his voice was calming to me. Yeah I know all clones have the same voice but this was distinctly Jesse's voice.

"Sleepy?"

I nodded. He pulled the blankets over us a bit more and I snuggled into his chest.

"Sleep well love."

That was the last thing I heard before I dozed off.
