Lazy morning, snuggles, sleepy Hunter. Canon who? Don't know her.

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside and the feeling of Hunter's arms wrapped around my waist. I opened my eyes and saw small streaks of sunlight peeking through the curtains. I groaned and shifted a bit to get comfortable again when I felt Hunter's arms tighten around me.

"Good morning Hunter."

"Morning" he mumbled, still half asleep.

I turned to face him. His eyes were still closed, hair messily splayed across the pillow and a peaceful expression on his tattooed face.

"Ready to get up anytime soon?"

I asked while brushing a few stray hair strands out of his face.

"Nope, not at all."

I just giggled at his reply. He slowly cracked open his eyes and smiled at me.

"You look beautiful."

"Really, even with the bed hair and all?"

"Mhm. absolutely."

"I wish we could stay like this forever."

"Why not, the war's over, everything is fine now that Palpatine's gone, the inhibitor chips are out and we get to live peaceful lives."

I chuckled.

"Well you do know that we have two very hyper little kids who love jumping on our bed."

Hunter laughed.

"They're probably still asleep right now, so we still have some quiet time."

"That we do."

Hunter kissed my forehead softly before asking

"Any plans for today?"

I nodded.

"Actually, I was thinking since it's such a nice day today we could all go to the beach. The kids will love it and we could all do with some fresh air."

"That sounds like a great idea."

"It does, but for that idea we need to get up."

"But-"

Hunter's sentence was interrupted by the sound of running feet, giggling then the kids jumping on us.

"Mom, dad get up, it's a nice day today!"

"Yeah, can we go somewhere please? It's so bright and sunny."

"Pleeeeaaaasseeee!?"

They said simultaneously.

Hunter and I laughed.

"Well, your mother just told me what she has planned for today."

"Really!? What is it? What is it!?"

"I'll tell you, only if you help me make pancakes for breakfast."

"With chocolate chips?"

"Yep, only if your Uncle Wrecker hasn't eaten all of them. Now go wake everyone else up and change out of your pajamas."

The kids ran off and Hunter and I got up to get ready.

"I don't understand how those two can be so hyper in the morning."

Hunter commented as he slipped on his shirt. I chuckled.

"Well my dear husband, they are little kids."

We made our way to the kitchen to see everyone there. Wrecker and Omega were laughing with the kids, Tech and Echo were making quiet small talk and Crosshair was at the table with a frown on his face while holding a mug of coffee.

"You awake Cross?"

Crosshair glared at Hunter.

"Shut up Hunter."

We all laughed while the kids helped me out.

"So y/n, we heard from the kids that you had something planned for the day."

"I sure do Echo."

"Mind telling us what the plan is?"

"Yeah Mom! Tell us tell us!"

I poured some milk into the mixture before answering them.

"I was thinking we could all go spend the day at the beach, how does that sound?"

"YES!"

"How about no?"

Hunter raised his eyebrow.

"C'mon Cross it's a nice day, don't spoil it. Besides you could do with some sunlight."

Wrecker burst out laughing at the comment along with the kids. Crosshair shot a small glare at them.

"You're lucky your mother's here."

"I heard that"

I finished frying up the last pancakes while the kids set the table.

"Can we go after breakfast Dad?"

Hunter nodded.

"Sure."

Crosshair just rolled his eyes while sipping his coffee.

"Uncle Crosshair you shouldn't keep rolling your eyes like that otherwise they'll get stuck"

"You little-"
