Fives

I was resting at the camp we had set up on this planet with beautiful silver glowing flowers which turned people into tooka cats when consumed. I was fiddling around with my lightsabers when I heard Jesse and Hardcase wheezing with laughter with Rex and Kix muttering idiot. I looked up to see Hardcase holding a tooka cat with markings exactly like Fives' armor and his eye color. My eyes widened

"Explain, now." I said to them.

"Well General-" Rex started but Hardcase interrupted him.

"Fives ate one of the flowers because he wanted to see what he would look like as a tooka cat and now we're here!" He held up cat Fives who had a look on his face that said "not my fault I was curious". I pinched the bridge of my nose and sighed.

"You've got to be kidding me, I specifically told you NOT to eat any of the flowers."

"We just turned our backs for 10 seconds and he had already eaten one." Kix said.

"That's the problem, you don't leave Jesse, Fives and Hardcase for a second unsupervised, especially if they're together."

"That's cold, General." Jesse said.

I simply raised an eyebrow at him.

"Hand him over Hardcase, I'll take care of him."

He handed Fives over to me and immediately he started meowing and trying to nuzzle into me.

"That's not going to work right now Fives, I'm still annoyed at you."

His ears drooped and I immediately felt bad.

"Ok, I'm sorry, but you shouldn't have eaten one of those flowers."

I sat down and put Fives onto my lap and started stroking the back of his ears, he purred and curled up in my lap.

"You know, you're actually adorable as a cat."

"Good thing I took a couple of photos already of him so that we can bring this up whenever we want." Jesse said. Fives growled at him.

"Fives stop, you had this coming."

He pouted and went back to resting on my lap. After massaging his back he fell asleep on my lap.

"Kix?"

"Yes General?" I could see he was trying so hard not to laugh.

"You can laugh if you want."

He burst out into laughter trying not to wake up Fives.

"Also, how long will this last for?"

"Um, a week."

Even Rex couldn't hold in his laughter, neither could I.

"So, I'll be taking care of an idiot of an ARC trooper as a cat for a week."

"Seems like it, General."

I took a deep breath.

"Maker give me patience." I muttered under my breath.

The next day we had a mission to infiltrate a Separatist base to rescue fellow Jedi master Depa Billaba and her padawan Caleb Dume, we had to go in and out undetected which proved to be a problem as all the entrances were heavily guarded.

"So General, how do you propose-" Rex asked before Jesse cut him off

"You get down on one knee and hold out the ring and ask will you marry me."

I was trying so hard not to laugh at this but Hardcase couldn't control his laughter and nearly gave away our position so Kix had to cover his mouth with his hand. Rex and Kix gave Jesse and Hardcase the scariest glares I've ever seen them make which got the both of them to shut up.
