hello hello yes i need to give y'all a warning for this chapter before it begins! one of the characters has an anxiety attack and idk if that might bother someone, so to be on the safe side i'm going to say this beforehand. but without further ado: i hope you enjoy :)

(also i have never had an anxiety attack before and i tried to portray it as accurately as i could using google and memories of one of my friends having one so i am so sorry if i got some things wrong)

"Nadwe! Where are you!" Meme yelled. Nadwe grumbled. After staying up all night researching vampires, and talking to Woolf. It was not like Nadwe would have slept anyways.

"Coming Meme!" Nadwe called out. After committing parkour and avoiding the sun, he met Meme under a tree.

He still wasn't comfortable calling Meme "Dad" to his face yet.

"Finally, you literally took forever," Meme huffed, rolling his eyes, "Oof came by as said Laff's giving Socks a funeral today. I really hate Laff but... Socks deserves it." Wictoria nodded in agreement. Nadwe clenched his fists, he didn't want to agree but Socks did deserve it. Socks deserved so much more. Wictoria mooed to Meme.

"We'll go find everyone else over here, wait right here," Meme said. As the couple left Nadwe started to cut down a few trees. He needed the wood. Eventually Meme, Wictoria and Joocie came back.

"I couldn't find Dino ANYWHERE!" Meme grumbled. Wictiora nuzzled her head into Meme's leg as Meme sighed.

"Hey, It's fine, no one really blames you, mate!" Joocie said.

"Yeah..." Meme grumbled.

"Anyways, let's get going. The funeral won't wait for anyone," Joocie said.

"MUFFIN! WHERE WERE YOU!" Nadwe yelled. He wrapped his fellow fourteen-year-old in his arms, on purposely pushing him under the shade of a tree.

"Oh, hey there," Muffin said his voice muffled in Nadwe's arms.

"Where were you!? I was so worried about you!" Nadwe said.

"Doin' stuff," Muffin muttered. Nadwe pulled back.

"Hey! I know you're lying! C'mon, we've known each other for so long... You can tell me," Nadwe pouted. Muffin sighed.

"I was doing nothing, Nad, sorry for disappearing like that," Muffin mumbled.

"Hey! It's cool bro!" Nadwe smiled at his friend, "...What were you doing here, at the church, anyways?"

"Well I... U-uh I'm h-here b-b-beacus- because..." Muffin stammered off, clutching his head. Muffin started to shake and his quick breaths seemed to go faster than what was healthy. Nadwe stood beside him, not knowing exactly what to do.

"Hey, uh, it's fine! You don't have to tell me why!" Nadwe squeaked. Muffin heavily breathed, in and out. In and out. He was shaking all over.

"Okay, okay Muffin, what do you need," Meme said rushing over.

"I- I-..."

"Hey, it's okay, you can get through this."

"I.. I want to go..." Muffin mumbled between rushed breaths.

"Okay, are you okay if I carry you?" Meme asked. Muffin nodded. Meme picked up the younger boy, who was trembling in his arms.

"Nadwe, wait over here. I'll be back soon," Meme told his son. Nadwe nodded as Meme and Muffin left.
