Ch.8 | Dancing in the Rain

Kathleen's P.O.V.

I bit my lip, looking at the ground nervously as I watched Taehyung's brother, Kim Namjoon signing some documents stating our freedom from these four-walled prison.

"Get those two out" I smiled slightly after hearing the officer's order as one lady came towards my cell, opening it before I stepped out letting out a sigh of relief.

"Finally" I heard Taehyung muttering as he walked out from his cell and looked at me before we both broke into big smile, taking each other into a hug excitedly.

"Well.." I muttered after we pulled away from the hug standing in awkwardness as the Officer's voice cut our little bubble.

"Can you both go already?" He said irritated from behind us as I bit my lip in embarrassment and quickly moving towards the exit of the police station without waiting for Taehyung as I could hear him coming after me probably with his brother.

"Oh.." I whispered before turning around, facing Taehyung's brother and adding, "Thank you for helping us, Mr. Kim" He nodded at me with a polite smile as Taehyung came by my side before tugging at my hand making me look at him confused.

"It's Raining!" He excitedly let out as I watched him in amazement before looking in the front, indeed it's raining and that too, pretty hard.

"I'll ask inside if they could lend us an umbrella, then we'll just get into my car and I'll drop you both" Namjoon said as I nodded at him in agreement before he dashed back inside.

"Kat, Come!" Taehyung said tugging me forward as I resisted before saying, "Are you crazy?! It's raining, Tae!"

"So what? Come on! I wanna dance with you in the rain!" He said with a smile on his angelic face as I shook my head in disbelief.

"Taehyung, as cute as that sounds, we'll get sick so no" I said as a matter of fact before he looked at me with those adorable puppy eyes making me melt from inside.

"Then we'll get sick together, but Comeon, please!" He said making me chuckle at his response as I looked at him, sighing knowing I have to agree with this adorable human.

"Fine.." I grunted as he quickly pulled me under the pouring rain as I squinted my eyes trying to see clearly but I could only see the blurry image of Taehyung.

"Follow my lead" He said in my ear making me shiver slightly not from the rain but from the close proximity between us as I nodded feeling him taking my hands and placing them on his firm shoulder before his own hands found my waist, pulling me in closer towards his chest.

"If they asked me, I could write a book,
About the way you walk and whisper and look,
I could write the preface on how we met,
So the world would never forget"

He twirled me around while singing with the most beautiful voice I've ever heard, he's voice was enchanting me like a Siren making me want to just melt into his arms and never let go.

"And the simple secret of the plot,

Then the world discovers as my book ends,
How to make two lovers a friends,

We both kept smiling while dancing around in the rain, having the time of our lives as he lifted me by my waist, spinning me around as I tightened my arms around his neck, both laughing in our own little world filled with happiness.

Looking into each others eyes while smiling, he put me down as we danced for a while before I remembered about his brother and looked at my side, distinguishing a faint silhouette watching us standing under the roof from afar as I pulled away from Taehyung slightly.

"Let's get going, or we'll really get sick, Tae" I muttered out softly as he nodded before taking my hand in his large one and walking towards the parking lot and Namjoon followed us.

Silence filled the car as Namjoon was driving towards my house. Taehyung was Sitting on the passenger seat as I was residing on the back seat, wanting to sleep after this long night.

A small smile formed on my lips, thinking back at the night, I spent with Taehyung. So many things happened in one night that I couldn't help but chuckle at how everything turned out from the awful date with Christopher to Taehyung's amazing date to being arrested to getting to know him better to dancing in the rain infront of the police station like two lunatics.

"Here we are, Kathleen" Namjoon's voice broke me out of my thoughts as I looked outside the window, having my house Infront of me as I sighed in relief.

"Thank you so much for everything you've done for me today, Mr. Kim" I thanked him politely as he turned towards me with a smile.

"No need for all the formalities, And it's no big deal, don't fret yourself about it" He said kindly as I smiled one last time before stepping out of the car but before I could go inside, someone held my wrist preventing me from going.

I turned around, facing Taehyung as I looked at him, waiting for him to continue.

"Kathleen, I had alot of fun with you and I hope we'll meet again and get to know each other more because..I'm starting to like you" The air in my lungs left me at his sudden confession as I didn't know what to do because all I wanted to do was run and hide my face into a pillow before screaming at the top of my lungs in happiness.

"I- I-" I stuttered, not being able to say anything as Taehyung looked at me with a smile before saying, "It's alright, don't pressure yourself. We'll take it slow and now give me your telephone number"

I looked at his open palm as he handed me a pen making me chuckle before I held his hand, writing my landline number at his palm.

"Here" I said as he looked at his palm with a wide smile before moving forward all of a sudden and giving me a soft peck on my cheek making me widen my eyes.

"See you soon, darling" He whispered in my ear before moving back and going towards the car leaving me in a trance.

This boy is going to be my death someday.
