Chapter 25

"For even in death, you have become Children of Thanos." That's what I heard as I started to come to. I felt something on my mouth. A device to prevent me from talking? I opened my eyes, darkness. A cover for my eyes. My hands are restrained. What was going on?

"I know what it's like to lose." A voice echoed, I stayed still, not like I could do much anyway. "It's frightening. Turns the legs to jelly." What is this guy going on about? Losing? Who's losing? "I ask you, to what end? Dread it. Run from it.....Destiny arrives all the same." I could tell he was pacing in front of me. What.Is.Going.On?

"You talk too much." Thor. Thor! Why did he seem muffled? With liquid? I moved around, my brother was in danger, I sensed it.

"Ah! The Goddess has graced us!" The man I didn't know spoke. "Remove her blindfold, I do not think she controls her power through the eyes." Someone came over and removed the cover from my eyes, they were glowing bright blue with anger as I saw Thor being held by a giant purple man. A gold Gauntlet on his arm. No. It can't be. "Oh yes, revel in the miracle I present you." He lifted his hand to flaunt it. I jerked towards him, but I couldn't move much. The man turned to look next to me, only then did I notice Loki stood, not restrained. "The Tesseract, or your brother's head. I assume you have a preference."

Creatures moved in with weapons around us. Loki raised his arms and bowed mockingly. "Oh, I do. Kill away!" I widened my eyes and stared at Loki. Shock. Betrayal. It all felt too familiar. I heard Thor scream as I snap back to see a glow from the Gauntlet. The Power stone, the man held the glove to Thor's left temple as he screamed. I jerked forward, trying to scream at him to stop.

"ALL RIGHT, STOP!" Loki yelled. I sighed as the man stopped. Relaxing slightly, my eyes were hurting from the glow now, I couldn't even try to control them anymore. I was growing hungry from anger.

"We don't have the Tesseract. It was destroyed on Asgard." Thor muttered, I noticed a blue glow not from my eyes next to me and saw Loki holding the 'Destroyed' Tesseract. "You..... really are the worst brother." Thor muttered.

Loki held the Tesseract out to the purple man. All I could do was watch. "I assure you, Brother....Sister.....the sun will shine on us again." Loki looked to me, his eyes held mischief, did he have a plan? Was this all a rue?

"Your optimism is misplaced, Asgardian." The man stated.

"Well, for one thing, I'm not Asgardian." Loki states with a slight smile growing, "and for another.....We have a Hulk" Hulk? Banner was here? What did I miss?

I look over hearing a roar coming close, I saw Hulk bounding towards the man as Loki had pulled Thor out of the way, knocking the Tesseract away from them. I heard someone say something, but I was focused on Thor rushing to me and ripping the device from my mouth. I took a breath, feeling more able with my power. I watched as the purple man pried Hulk's hands away, he looked surprised and scared. I could feed off that. But before I could move, the man hit Hulk, knocking him back.

The purple man looked back to us, not seeing that I was glowing.

"I'm..." He glanced at me, shock, fear, his purple color almost drained from his skin. "So....hungry." I dragged out as I let my eyes open, the burning blue glowed bright as I let it take over, Sucking a blue mist from everyone's mouth. Loki was able to send Hulk home using his magic. He didn't need to be here. It was an unnecessary death.

"ENOUGH!" The man shouted as I was hit by his gloved hand, I don't know how he got close to me. I jerked my head to the side.

"Don't TOUCH HER!" Thor yelled, but a man, alien, thing, came up and shushed him with a mouth cover, someone had replaced mine as well.

"Shhh..." The weird squidward looking thing said.  He walked over collecting the Tesseract and bowing to the purple man in offering. "My humble personage...bows before your grandeur. No other being has ever had the might, nay the nobility, to wield not one, but two Infinity Stones." No... The man takes the Tesseract. No....! "The universe lies within your grasp."

The man crushes the Tesseract, pulling the space stone from it, placing it in his Gauntlet. No..no...no..this can't be happening.... "There are two more Stones on Earth. Find them, my children, and bring them to me on Titan."

"Father, we will not fail you." The creatures kneeled.

"If I might....interject...." Loki had come back out. I glanced at him, what was he doing? "If you're going to Earth, you might want a guide, I do have a bit of....experience in that arena."

"If you consider failure experience." The man stated, unimpressed with my brother.

"I consider experience, experience." He walked forward, "Almighty Thanos" Ah, so the purple man was Thanos. "I....Loki...Prince of Asgard..." Loki looks at Thor and then me, his eyes held sincerity, "...odinson... The rightful King of Jotunheim....God of Mischief....o hereby pledge to you.." I noticed the slight glimmer of metal in his hands. "....my undying fidelity." Loki throws himself upward with lightning speed and attempts to stab at Thanos' neck. But Thanos had raised the gauntlet, freezing him with the space stone.

"Undying? You should choose your words more carefully." I jerked forward, my eyes glowing blue as he grabs Loki's hand with his right and his gloved hand takes his throat, lifting him to be eye level. I watch as Loki struggled, I could feel the wetness of my blood on my wrists as I tried to free myself. Brother...

Loki stops struggling. "You....will never be.....a god." With that Thanos crushes his neck, killing him instantly. Tears streamed from my eyes.

"NO!" Thor screamed out muffled. I bowed my head in pain and sorrow, as Thor walks over to Loki's body, dropping to him.

"No resurrections this time." Thanos lifts the Gauntlet. No. I lift myself up and tackle him, I had finally gotten one of my hands freed from the handcuffs, ripping skin off and dislocating my thumb. I reached up and removed the cover from my mouth. My eyes were searing blue, tears pulsing blue from my eyes as I wrapped myself around his waist and sucked the blue mist from his mouth. My hands held his head in place. It didn't last long. I knew it wouldn't, I was angry...I was stupid. I should have known better. But....Loki..

He rips me off of him, throwing me away like a rag doll. He aims the Gauntlet at me, "NOO!!!" Thor muffled a yell at me. I smiled at him as Thanos used the space stone to send me away. Where? Who knew. I didn't. I had blacked out. Again. My last thoughts on two people. Steve......Bucky.....I am so sorry.....
