I trudged through the busy hallways heading to my History class. I was stressing my attention to all of my surroundings, bumping into people and mumbling apologies. I woke up feeling great but events from earlier today account for my current state of panic and nervousness.

"Class dismissed." Professor Quinn announced.

"Finally." I mumbled. I picked up all of my books from my desk and quickly made my way into the crowded hall.

My next period would be all the way across the school. This is good. I need my exercise. I thought optimistically.

The hallways were almost completely abandoned as I knew for sure I would be a few minutes late. My teacher never minded though as I told her of my daily walk across the school. As quiet whisper from around the corner grabbed my attention.

"We have to get them all together." A male voice whispered.

"Hughes said—" a girl's voice started.

"Who cares what Hughes said. She put me in charge." The same male voice whisper yelled.

"We round them up. To do this we need to get one of them for leverage." He finished.

"I say we get one of the girls." Another male voice suggested.

"Or we get Besson or Avery and Harris will come looking for them and the others will for sure follow." The first guy said.

"I agree." Another girl said.

"How about we get both of them?" The second guy asked.

"Yeah. Jessy and Kade, you get Besson. He is in Flight right now. Class just started so grab him after. Vic and I will grab Avery after his class." The first guy directed.

"Let's go get 'em." The second guy smirked— Kade I assumed.

As they walked in the other direction, I scurried to class. Nervousness taking over as I knocked on my classroom door. Mr. Watson opened it and smiled.

"I am sorry I am a little later than usual. My last teacher kept me behind to talk." I casually lied.

"No problem Ms. Harris. We are just starting our lesson over the history of Gifted People throughout time. Take a seat." He explained.

For first part of class, I got my mind off of the situation but it all began to sink in. I lost in my own thoughts and 'what ifs'. This all lasted until the bell signaled the end of class. I packed my stuff and basically ran out of the door. I couldn't teleport to their classes because I haven ever been there. I speed walked, bumping into people. I got scolded but I didn't care in the moment. Corbyn's class was closer, I have never seen him use his abilities so let's hope is fighting. Jack is capable of fighting them off, as I have seen his powers. Corbyn has Math next, and getting out of his Flight class. Good thing all of the Math classes are in the same section. He would be walking in from the left, so when I made it to the Math hall, I rushed through to Corbyn's approximated location. I caught his eye and waved over at him. I ran as fast as I could. I saw two familiar faces, Jessy and Kade.

"Corbyn!" I shouted out to him. "On your left!"

He looked to his left confused and saw Kade and Jessy gaining on him towards him. I teleported quickly beside him, taking his arm.

"We have to get away from them. They are working for Hughes." I said worried.

"Okay. Yeah, let's go—" He replied. Before I could lead him away and fist collided with my temple. I hit a wall, my vision blurred.
