Chapter 34

Lucas's POV: So today it's Jake's birthday! My boy is turning 17. We didn't do a surprise party cause he actually wanted to throw a party.
Unfortunately there's school today. But that won't stop us. Tomorrow is Saturday, so.. it's gonna be A party.

We're actually going to New York for the weekend. Jake's going home for a little family lunch, fair. Then we'll leave around 4pm.
I have a good friend that said he would rent us his mansion, yup I said mansion. He took 300 for a a party for like 100 people, in a fucking ass mansion! With the only condition, the party is just downstairs and outside, and that's the deal.

I got dressed, ate my bagel. Toby was eating his cereal. He was a bit upset because he wanted to go, but we didn't have anyone to look after him while we're at the party and he's definitely not going to one of those parties.

Lucas: Toby come on - he ignored me - I told you why you can't come. Otherwise I would take you. - he kept ignoring. I sighed - I'll take you and your friend go karting when I come back - he smiled right away

Toby: Thank you bro - I rolled my eyes

Lucas: Come on. Go get your backpack

He went upstairs, got his backpack and his shoes. I got my phone and the car keys and went outside. Toby came out and I beeped. Jake came out

Toby: Happy birthday dude!! - he hugged him

Jake: Haha thanks buddy

Lucas: Happy birthday man - we bro hugged

Jake: Thanks man

Lucas: I'll pay your donut and your coffee today

Jake: You do that tho

Lucas: Shhh.. get in the car - he chuckled and did. And then he saw the present

Jake: Dude

Lucas: Sup?

Jake: You shouldn't have

Lucas: It's a little something. It was just me paying attention- he opened it and it was a New York Giants cap.

Jake: Yoo! Thank you bro

Lucas: See, I pay attention

I started driving. We stopped at Dunkin' Donuts. I paid for everyone's coffee and donuts. We dropped Toby off and headed to school. I parked the car and when we got out Rik came running and hugged Jake. He chuckled and hugged her

Erika: Happy birthday Jakey

Jake: Thank you baby - they kissed and she hugged him again

The hole crew wished Jake happy birthday, hugged him and all that. Eventually we had to go inside. We got to the class and we had Spanish. Tony signed me from the door. I got up

Lucas: Ahem - everyone stopped talking and looked at me

Teacher: Si Lucas?

Lucas: I would like to have everyone's attention for a few minutes. 1.. 2.. 3.. - I said softly and Tony came in with a cake and candles

Everyone: Happy birthday to you! - we all started singing and clapping and Tony brought the cake to Jake's table. The teacher was chill and singing with us, we had talked to her before, she said she didn't mind. Jake blew the candles

Jake: Thanks guys

Josh: Yo Paul I want some cake.

Jake: Yeah. Sorry teacher

Teacher: It's ok

Jake: Would you like some cake?

Teacher: Sure, a little bit

Everyone got a slice of cake, we ate, talked for a little while

Teacher: Ok chicos. It's really nice but we got to learn something as well.

Ryan: Fair enough

We threw the trash out, and sat back down

Jake: Thank you everyone, and thank you profe for letting us have this little cake break

Teacher: No problem. Let's do this then

We started the class, didn't have that much time left, but we did some exercises and all.

The day went on. We classes till lunch time but that was it. It took a while but we were also anxious to go home and finish packing up. Well in my case starting to pack up.

Eventually classes ended and we went home. I gave Jake a ride home. His family was already there.
I went home, Brian wasn't there, I did a little pasta with kinda everything, you know you cook the pasta then I just get cheddar cheese, mozzarella, bacon, tomato, onions, garlic, olive oil, heavy cream and parsley, pretty much it. It's really good.

I ate, chilled for a bit, packed up everything for the weekend. Then I went to pick up Toby. And by the time I was back it was 3:40 ish.

Lucas: Toby, Brian will be home in 30 minutes tops. I'm get going

Toby: Alright. Have a nice trip

Lucas: Thanks

Toby: Can I-

Lucas: Yeah yeah, you can sleep in my room - he chuckled, he always asks that, I'm not sure why.

I got my suitcase and put it in Brian's car. We switched, he let me use his for the weekend because the trunk was bigger than mine, so he's using my car and I'm using his.
I beeped and Jake came outside with his suitcase and put it in the trunk as well.

Lucas: Ready bro?

Jake: Hell yeah. Who else are we taking?

Lucas: We're only taking two cars. The least the better.

Jake: Right

Lucas: I told Rik I would pick her up but we gotta call the crew.

Jake: I'll do it

Lucas: Sweet

I started driving. Jake called everyone to settle everything.

Jake: Ok Tony is already with Ryan and Kade. They're on their way to Kenzie's and Sunny is there sooo we get Rik, Dani and Chloe

Lucas: Alright - and just then I stopped at Rik's. Took her a minute and she came out

Erika: Hiiiii! - Jake got out and put her suitcase on the trunk too (carry on luggage guys)

Jake: Hey beautiful - they kissed and came back in - Alright, let's get your girl

We picked up Chloe next.

Chloe: Hi - she came to my window and kissed me

Jake: Bleh

Lucas: Shut up

We picked up Dani then we all met at the Starbucks parking lot.

Lucas: Ready?

Tony: Lets do this man

We took off. New York, here we go.
