Chapter 16

Erika POV: This is definitely the best birthday I've had so far. When my family moved to Connecticut I wasn't happy, at all. The past six months before we moved were hell, boyfriend that broke my heart like I didn't even know it was possible, best friends that weren't even friends, people just broke my trust in.. everything honestly.

And then I came to Connecticut and met these guys. 

I would have never imagined 4 months ago that I would meet such amazing people. They completely changed my life. I haven't been this genuinely happy for so long, I'm forever thankful for this life. 

But anyways! After that incredible lunch, I was amazed. A restaurant with waiters that sing! It was so magical, I loved it. We went to the subway, we were going to the empire state building. The subway in New York isn't the most hygienic, but we just tried to see the bright side, besides the rats. 

We got in the subway and saw a guy playing saxophone. He was great! We gave him money and congratulated him, he told us a little bit about his story. He plays wherever he can, whenever he can, he has a job but when he isn't working he's playing sax somewhere in New York, it's truly what he loves to do. Eventually we got to our station, said goodbye to the musician and left.

Jake was playing with my fingers and we walked. Right... he's my boyfriend now. I've had my experiences with some guys. Some good, some meh, and a horrible one but I've never felt like this before. Every time he looks into my eyes I feel butterflies in my stomach just like the first time we had our little moment. He's adorable. I've noticed that his love language is physical touch, we talked about it once and he said that it's a little weird for him to talk about feelings, but that this time it was juts stronger than anything else. I know adorable, he's so cute. 

We got to the empire state building and first thing we did was stop at the door and look up. It was pretty tall, not gonna lie. We had to wait fro a while in the line. It didn't took that long, we waited like 20 minutes, which is very good New York wise. 

Erika: I still can't believe we're all in New York

Tony: It's pretty cool. Trips are always better with friends 

Kade: Aww look at our little boy - the boys started making fun of him in like a baby voice 

Tony: ha ha ha you guys are so funny 

Sunny: Come on he was being sweet

Chloe: Yeah he was saying he likes to travel with us all and you making fun of him 

Jake: I guess Tony has lawyers now 

Dani: Shush come on 

The line started moving. A bit later we were going up the elevator. Then a few stairs. But oh my goodness

Sunny: Wow, it's really tall 

Dani: You're afraid of heights? 

Sunny: No - Dani looked at Lucas and he said more and less with his hands (I hope that made sense) and Dani giggled

We took some pics, ok a lot of pics. We spent a few coins to look through the binoculars, mostly the boys. It was very fun. Eventually we went back down. Got the subway back to the Rockefeller center. 

The sun was setting when we got to the Rockefeller. We walked around for a little bit, went in some stores, bought a few things. Then we spotted the LEGO store, we're such kids. Lucas and Ryan love LEGOs. They sat near the kids on a little table and started building stuff. 20 minutes later they actually had something built, it was very impressive. Lucas built like a race car and Ryan built a plane. Then they helped the kids. We took some pics of them playing with LEGOs, it was kinda cute.

Kade: Alright can we go to the rink now? 

Lucas: Yeah let's do it. 

We went to the ice skating rink, got tickets for everyone. A nice lady put our bags in a little locker thing. We got the skates, put them on and waited a little bit. Eventually the people that were skating got out and we got in. 

So I wasn't like the best at it. Lucas and Ryan were killing it. Sunny said they played hockey together when they were younger which explains a lot. Sunny could handle herself just fine, and so could Mack. So Mack was helping Kade, he was doing pretty good. Sunny was trying to help Tony, it was hilarious, he kept holding onto the bar like his life depended on it. Chloe was really good too, she said her mom had some inline skates and taught her and these weren't very different. 

Dani and I just stood there still so we wouldn't fall. Then Ryan came near us. He held her hand 

Ryan: Let go

Chloe: I'm gonna fall

Ryan: I won't let you fall, come on - she let go and he held both her hands. She was looking down - Look at me - she did. He started skating backwards still holding her hands, and she started going. It was so cute. We know they've kissed a few times, they didn't make it official yet tho. But they are so cute together. 

Jake: Well.. I can't do that, but I'll help you the best I can - I smiled and kissed his cheek. He held my hand and tried to explain how to do it. I didn't do terrible, honestly. We obviously took pics.

 The Ryan slapped Lucas in the back of the head and they started running after each other. Tony was making fun of Lucas

Lucas: Are you sure you want to make fun of me while we are in here and you can barely move? 

Tony: You're the best bro - we all laughed 

It was such a great time, we had so much fun. Unfortunately tomorrow we have to go back but we'll still enjoy the day, we'll probably go back at like the end of the day or maybe even after dinner. We'll see. But this was definitely the best birthday ever
