~Marinette's pov~

I was not looking forward to having to switch schools at the end of summer. My parents made the decision to move to Paris and continue their business in baking there. I didn't really like the idea since I had to leave everything I had to move away, but I was happy for them and I tried to be a supportive daughter. I adjusted the finishing touches on my wall and took a step back to examine my new room. We've already been here for almost a week and I was finally dove with my new room, and may I say that I was pretty satisfied with the results. I grabbed my phone to check the time. It was already 5pm and I was bored so I decided that I would go around for a stroll. I told my mom I'd be back for dinner and left.

While I was walking I somehow made it into a beautiful secret garden. It had stunning flowers everywhere, it seems as it was almost like a fairytale. I went in deeper and it had a little pond in where I guess was the middle of the garden. I sat on my knees as I saw fishes and tadpoles in the pond and a frog on a lily pad. "Excuse me, miss?" A strange voice spoke up. I turn around and stand up to find a boy about my age with golden locks, tan skin, and gorgeous emerald eyes. "Oh I'm sorry, is this a restricted area or private property?" I asked apologetically. "No, it's just I've never seen you around. Are you new here?" He asked. Which made me think that he probably knows everyone near the area. "Oh yes, my parents and I just moved here last week." I answered. "Oh okay." He said in understatement. "Well, umm, I should get going and let you be." I said as I started to walk away. "Wait! Err- I mean, you can stay if you'd like, I would actually like to have some company. I gets kinda lonely here sometimes." He said as he scratched the back of his neck. "Are you sure?" I asked. He nodded in response. "Okay then." I said as I went back to sit down. And not long after so did he.

"I'm Adrien, by the way." He said. "Marinette." I replied. "That's such a lovely name, Marinette." He complimented. "Thank you. So, do you come here often?" I asked trying to start a conversation. "Yeah, ever since I was a kid." He answered. "Really?" I asked. "Yeah, I used come with my mom all the time. She was the one who showed me the garden actually. But she passed away a while ago, and I come here to feel closer to her." He explained. "Oh, I'm so sorry for your lost." I said sympathetically. "It's alright." He responded with a smile. And I smiled back.

We kept on talking about things like how my life was before I moved here, and how sadly his father was cold towards him after his mom passed away. He also asked what school am I going to, hopping that we'll be in the same one, but in all honesty I still had no idea yet. That was until I got a message from my mom saying to come home for dinner, so I had to leave. But we agreed on meeting each other in the garden the next day again.

~Adrien's pov~

I can't believe that now I have finally met a girl who has actually caught my eye and stolen my heart, I had to part ways with her. That's right I've fallen in love with the bluebell eyed, midnight hair girl that I met in the garden. And I didn't even have her number, I'm so stupid. But we were so caught up in the moment and focusing on the present. We might not even have time to meet up at the secret garden because of school and my busy schedule, since my father makes me do more things when it's back to school time.

As I was getting out of my limo, my best bud Nino called out my name. "Oh hey, Nino! I have an intresting story to tell you that happened over the summer." I said. "Ooh spill the beans, dude." He said. "Alright- wait where's Alya?" I asked. "Oh, she's welcoming a knew student." He answered. "Oh okay, well as I was saying." I continued on with my story as we went to the lockers.

"No way, man." Nino said in disbelief. "I know right, but now I might not see her again." I said as we entered the class. "Oh look, Alya is already here with the new student." Nino said as we entered the class. I froze in place when I saw the bluenette chatting with Alya. "Nino, that's her..." I mumbled. But he understood what I said since his eyes went wide and his smile grew bigger.
