"Know that I love you so bad I let you treat me like that," I sang along to my girlfriend's song, Favorite Crime, that played through my airpods.

I've never been much of a singer. I don't like the sound of my singing voice. It's especially hard when your girlfriend is famous for being an incredible singer. Due to this, I only sing when she isn't home. Which is now.

I hummed to the melody of the song as I brushed my hair in the bathroom. I turned up the volume on my airpods , as my favorite part was about to start.

"It's bittersweet to think of all the damage that we do. Cause I was going down but I was doing it with you. Yeah everything we broke and all the trouble that we made, but I say I hate you with a smile on my face." I belt, looking at myself in the mirror.

"Oh, look what we became." I sang, then hummed again.

I swing around to look at Olivia, who had swung the door open. I quickly pause my music and put my airpods back into their case.

"(y/n), I didn't know you could sing." She smiles.

"I didn't know you were home yet, and I can't sing." I responded, slightly embarrassed. I turned back to look at myself in the mirror. I began to put my hair in a french braid.

"Baby, you can too sing. I just heard you." She looked at me through the mirror.

"No I can't, Liv." I avoid meeting her eyes in the glass.

Olivia walks up behind me and wraps her arms around my waist. "Yes, you can. Your voice is beautiful. Why haven't you sang for me in the past, baby?" She kisses my cheek.

"I just get nervous. I don't like my voice, and I'm scared people won't like it either." I look down to my feet.

She takes her finger and lifts my chin to force me to meet her eyes.
"(y/n), I haven't heard you sing much, but I already love your singing voice."

I look into her soft brown eyes. I can't help but smile, which causes her to do the same.

"You really think so?" I ask as she moved her hand from my chin to my cheek.

"I know so." She smiles stroking my cheek with her thumb. I bring my hand up to hold the one she had on my cheek.

She leaned in and our lips connected. They moved together in sync. We pulled apart to catch our breath, resting our foreheads against one another's.

I smile. "Thank you, that means a lot."
