My best friend and I have been planning a trip to Daytona Beach for months. Today was finally the first day of it.

We got out of the uber, that dropped us off at our resort. We grabbed our things and headed into the lobby.

The resort was huge. Olivia and I got checked in and headed up towards our room. We got a suite, so we we're more than excited.

"I'm so excited." I beamed.

"I am so tired." She whined as we stepped into the elevator.

"Ready for bed?" I asked.

"Incredibly."

The eastern time here was ahead of our usual pacific time. We still had started the day early to make sure we had everything in order so we could catch our flight.

We got to our floor, and found our room. I swipe the key and open the door. We headed in, pulling our luggage behind us.

The room was spacious. It had a nice bathroom, a beautiful view of the beach from a small terrace, a couch, a huge tv, and a small kitchen. Although, there were all of these wonderful things, there was one think missing. Another bed.

"Why is there only one bed?" I asked.

Olivia frantically shuffled through her print out of all of her booking information.

She sighed.

"Liv?"

"Lesson learned. Read the fine print." She grumbled. "It's a suite with a single king sized bed."

"Oh. Well, that's okay. I can just sleep on the couch."

"(Y/n), no you don't have to do that we could just share it. It's a big bed."

"I know, but you need rest. Plus I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

"You wouldn't. Why would you?" She questioned.

I bite my lip back.

I had developed feelings for Olivia. I have just kept pushing them down because I don't want to ruin our friendship. The last thing I need, is for her to be out of my life because I ruined our friendship thanks to my stupid feelings.

"(Y/n/n)" She calls out, bringing me back to reality. "Are you okay? You totally spaced out." She stepped towards me rubbing my arm with her hand.

"Yeah. Uh, I'm okay." I nodded.

"If you say so." She gave me a worried look, in which I just tried to smile to reassure her.

"So, we're sharing the bed."

"But-" I tried to object.

"No buts." She grabbed a change of pajamas from her luggage.

"Now, get ready for bed." She quickly took her shirt off and replaced it with a tee shirt, and changed from her jeans into pajama pants.

I just stared at her, admiring her for a few moments.

"Are you going to sleep in you jeans or-" Olivia questioned.

"Oh uhh, right." I grabbed my shorts and a hoodie from my luggage and changed into it.

Olivia had already gotten into the bed. I stood there for a few moments.

Why am I so scared? This was her idea, not yours. I need to just embrace it. But what if I say something or do something dumb? What if I ruin our friendship trying to be something more with her?

"(Y/N)." Olivia says. "Come here." She motioned.

I sat down on the edge of the bed. I felt her hands grip my waist as she pulled my body closer to her's. She wrapped her arms around me, resting her chin on the crown of my head.

"Talk to me. You've been acting funny since we got to the room. Please," She pleaded. "what's wrong?"

"It's noth-," I started, but she quickly interrupted me.

"No. It's not nothing. No it's definitely something." She said sternly. "You don't have to talk to me, but I can tell you need to get something off your chest. I can sense it."

I sighed. "I'm just, afraid." I said reluctantly.

"Of?" She asked, pushing my hair out oh my face, all while keeping it in the crook of her neck.

"Ruining everything and losing you." I said. I tried so hard to keep my voice from breaking, but I knew there was no way I could keep it from doing as such.

"Oh, (Y/n/n). Why would you think that?" She began to gently rub my back.

"Because-" My voice began to break, as I felt my body begin to slightly shake. "because, over time, I've started getting these feelings for you- a-and they are the kind of feelings that you would have towards a partner."

I felt my eyes fill up with nervous tears, my lungs burned as I choked back sobs.

I was absolutely terrified.

"What are you trying to say?" She asked softly, pulling away from the embrace slightly.

She lifted my chin up with her finger. She moved her hand to my cheek, gently wiping away the tears, as more threatened to fall from my eyes.

"Olivia, I-i love you, I always have. I just want you to stay." I tried to hold everything back.

She looked at me for a few moments.

"Oh muffin," She pulled me onto her lap. She had me straddling her, keeping our bodies close. "I feel the same way." She smiled. She leaned in, and connected our lips.

I was hesitant at first, but kissed back. Her lips were so soft against mine. I grabbed her cheek with my hand, deepening the kiss.

It was electric. It felt like sparks were flying.

We finally pulled apart to catch our breaths.

"Do you really mean that?" I asked, resting my forehead on hers.

"Yes, I do." She smiled.

"Good." I put my lips back on hers, kissing her again.
