I got to his bedroom and saw that there was a suitcase as if this was all planned.When he spoke to me softly,telling me come over to him...I don't know,I thought he'd be nice to me.

I thought he was softening up but no!I don't want to leave.I saw the clothes at the corner of his bed,folded.He had already chose what I'm supposed to wear.

A black sweatpants and a matching cropped jacket along with a black cropped wifebeater shirt inside.He got it to my fucking underwear and shoes.I wore it all and the black sneakers.

I came out with the suitcase to the living area where I knew he was waiting."Roman?Is this all because you want me to tell you that I'm really yours?If so...Have you were tried asking?"

His look towards me changed."If I asked you to be mine right now...You would have said yes to that?After all these stunts I pulled?"I took a deep breath.

"Believe it or not,I'm not afraid of you,Roman.I don't care that I was kept in the dark about the real things.I just...You know what I want,don't make me say it."

"Velvet cake cupcakes with whipped cream and a cherry on top."I scoffed."What?"He went to his fridge and took out a pastry box."Open it."I saw the cupcakes he described.

"Let me guess,this was the cupcake you got me on my fourth birthday."He nodded."We have one more year.They won't mind."He took the box and my hand as he led me to the balcony.

He sat on his balcony armchair and put me on his lap by force.Sunset was beautiful,to be honest.I didn't really care about my situation at this point.

Until I blurted it out,of course."It was because of me,wasn't it?This whole rivalry thing with Damien?You wanted to honor the promise you didn't tell anyone about but Damien didn't like it."

One his hands was holding my hips in place but then he wrapped them both around my waist.He kissed the back of my neck and smirked as he saw the goosebumps.

"One of the reasons why.Minority reasons were the fights we had for more respect,dominance and stuff."I nodded."Yes."I said it out loud.Loud enough for him to hear even though it came out low.

"Yes,what,Remington?""You asked me if I would say yes if you asked me to be yours right there.I think I would say yes right now even though I didn't back then."

He's been loyal to me for years.He had no reason to be,yet he did.The least he deserves is a bit of honesty from me."I was in love with you back then.Before that one night,I was in love with you."

I scoffed."Who am I kidding,you were my first love,my first kiss,my first time..."I turned around to face him.He was as serious as ever."The truth is...You're my first everything,Roman."

He got his hand on my cheek but his fingers tangled with my hair.I leaned into his hand as I closed my eyes to savour the moment of peace I got.

"Do you still love me,Adele?"I shrugged."I don't know.But I know that you make me feel and that's a big thing for me."He,unphased,checked out his watch.

"Go to bed,Adele."I sighed."I'm guessing you will yell at me at the end so I'm gonna go.Good night,Roman."I kissed the corner of his lip and rested my forehead on his temple.

I waited for a reaction but he kept sitting there."Ok.Good night."I left and came into his bedroom.I don't like being yelled at and there has been enough fighting in my life these past 6 months.

I didn't want to get him bad so I just got in bed.Right after I closed the lights to sleep,he opened them and made me listen to him."Let's make a few things clear."I nodded."Ok."

"You don't make me say something twice.You don't fucking leave my sight unless you are here and I'm not.You don't leave this penthouse if I don't allow you to."

"Roman...Am I your prisoner?""If you're here,I can protect you.Call it whatever the fuck you want.You wear and eat what I allow you to.Go where I allow you to and see who I allow you to."

"Why?Why are you taking so many protections just to protect me?I know that Viktor is in town but...He only tried to take me once.He couldn't do it,so who cares?"

"I'm seperating from your brother now that I got what I wanted all along.I don't need him anymore.Bratva is leaving,so I'm just trying to keep your brother away.And the others."

"They're your frie-""I don't have friends.I have a right hand.And once your brother stops resisting and gives me his contract,signed and stamped,rules will loosen up."

"I just got my brother back,don't make me give up on him again.I didn't know being yours meant that I had to be without the only family I had left!"He didn't care.This is basically worse than kidnapping!

"Your stuff is being packed to move it all here."He took out my phone."No more using this."He crushed it in his hand."My guys will get you your new phone tonight and it will be here tomorrow."

One minute,I was focused on how he crushed my phone;the other,I was focusing on how he cut his hand."First aid kit."I stood up from the bed but he tucked me back in.

"I don't remember allowing you to get up,neonata.I'll get it."I sat straight on the bed as I cleaned up his palm.I was so careful so the glass wouldn't break inside his hand.

I took a deep breath."Roman,I will only abide by those rules if you promise not to yell at me or fight with me because I'm tired.I'm drained due to fighting and yelling.That's all I got for 6 months."

With his other hand on my cheek like he did before."I just want you to love me again,Cordelia Adele Remington."I nodded."I need to figure that one on my own,Roman.You can't make me fall for you."

"I'm patient.I waited 20 years for you,haven't I?"I nodded."You have."I put my hand on his face and stroked his cheek with my thumb."Thank you for caring enough to remember my birthday again,Roman Ajax Black."

"It's Moretti and you're welcome."I giggled."It's going to take some time for me to adjust to the new but not new family name."He planted a tender kiss that brought tears to my eyes on my forehead.

"This is all I know.Unless I fuck you,all these are all I can do."I smiled."And as simple as they are,they're better than what anyone could've done."

After all those rules I set,I barely fell asleep next to her.However,I had the worst nightmare.My father had killed her in front of me.I had woken up but then she wasn't next to me.

After that,I actually woke up and...She woke me up and I got my 8th birthday wish.
