Honestly,I didn't even expect him to show up at the hospital.It was down to me and Zane.The others had left.Roman decided to show up.

"What's your problem?You can't take just a few insults?!I didn't even talk behind your back!I was right in front of you!You didn't have to provoke him like that!What is wrong with you?!"

"Many things.That's not why I came.Move it,bitch."I rolled my eyes."At least I'm a bad bitch not your side bitch,asshole."I turned to Zane."I'm leaving.He can call me if he wants to talk."

I turned around and walked past him.I came back around 11pm."Sorry about today.Thank you for letting me have this day off,though."

"It's chill.Damien was in the hospital.But,I need a favor.One of my waiters quit.Could you also work as a waitress?"I shrugged."Sure.Why not?"

Damien and I worked on our issues through out these past three months.Since it was the last day of summer,Anastasia,Rudy and I decided to have a day at the beach.

I wore a cow print bikini set and a foulard around my waist to make a skirt.

I got my car with Ruby and then met up with Anastasia at the beach."Hey.You two look gorgeous."I hugged her and then she hugged with Ruby.

"Let's get some mojitos and then hit the sunbeds.""Oh my God,are you pregnant?!"She scoffed."What?!Why?!""Sunbeds?Unless you're pregnant or a mom,you won't sun bathe."

Ruby turned to Anastasia."She kind of has a point.""Whatever.I'm not pregnant.In fact,I hadn't slept with anyone in three months or more!"

We got into the sea and swam around.We came out of the water and guys were hitting on all three of us.Then the boys showed up.I went over to Damien."Hey!"

He just took off his shirt and put it over me.Then I saw the whores staring and took it off to put it over him!"What are you doing?""What are you doing?!"

He looked at me."You don't get to answer my question with another question,Cordelia."Then Roman pulled over."Since when are the gatherings being held without me?"

Damien turned back at him."Who do you think you are to show up at all,Black?"I turned to Ruby,not minding his existance.

"HEY!EYES OFF MY SISTER,YOU BASTARD!"I turned around to see Roman eyeing me up and down."See something you like,Black.If so...Just say it."

Then my flirty expression went away."Or just fuck off like I want you to."I rolled my eyes and turned back to Anastasia and Ruby."Another drink?"

Before we could leave,I saw a gun in his pocket,through his shirt."Damien?"I sighed and reached to his ear."Why does he have a gun with him?"Damien looked him in the eye and then got me behind him.

"How dense do you need to be to not understand one simple rule?!""Viktor is coming.His father and himself.You think this is the time to abide by such a ridiculous rule?!Just for her?!"

"Why would he come back?!He was here three months ago?!""He found your fucking soft spot!HE KNOWS THAT SHE DOESN'T KNOW!"

I walked to the middle."What the hell is going on?I am trying to dismiss everything!For three months I stayed silent!But enough is enough!I have to know!"

"Not here!"He got my arm but I got it back."I have a car!Thanks to you!I'll come!Just send me the location."I went over to Ruby."Shall we?"Anastasia snatched the keys."I'll drive!"

Us three came with my car and changed in our place to go to the building.We made it to the building in time."Damien,care to explain now?!"

"I changed a lot when you were gone.Starting with how legal my job is."I scoffed."What the fuck is that supposed to mean?!""It means,he started a fucking mafia!"

I turned to Roman as he yelled those words out to me."What?""It's not as bad as it-"I turned to Damien."DO YOU DON'T SEE HOW FUCKING DANGEROUS THIS IS?!"

"OF COURSE I SEE IT!NOW YOU KNOW,I CAN PROTECT YOU BETTER!"I turned around me."And all of you...Oh my God.I need to...I ne-"I just left.I couldn't form a single sentence!

I got to my car but I knew I wasn't going to be able to drive like this."You're not going anywhere just yet,tesoro."I know that voice."What do you want?"

I felt his hot breath at the back of my neck and my breath hitched at how close he was standing behind me.I felt the warmth of his body at my back.

"Seems to me I still have the same effect on you as I did that one night ten years ago."Today does mark ten years from that night.I remember it all too well.Too fucking well.

"I said I was sorry."His fingers grazed the skin of my arms,leaving goosebumps as a trail.He had too much effect of me,I don't like it."I own you,Cordelia Adele Remington."

"That one,I will disagree with."He held me by the wrists like he did years ago.Aggressively and he had the same look in his eyes just...Angrier?

"Get in the damn car."When I didn't,he forcefully put me in the car and then he sat at the driver's seat.He started driving like a maniac!"ROMAN STOP!PULL OVER!"

We went through the streets like a manic maniac!"ROMAN!ARE YOU TRYING TO GET US KILLED?!PULL OVER!"I freaked out like crazy!

We hit some cars,we drifted but he made it to the Hollywood sign.With the alcohol from before,I jumped out of the car and vomitted my guts out!

"Why would you do that?!Are you trying to make me have a heart attack?!I don't want to die!""If I own you,you're not dying!Are you dead?!No!Are you mine to own?!Yes!"

"Why would I belong to you,Roman?!For fuck's sake it was one night!One night that happened 10 years ago!Why do you dwell on it that much?!I said I was sorry!"

"IT IS NOT ABOUT THAT ONE NIGHT!NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT THAT NIGHT,CORDELIA!"

"YOU WERE MINE WAY BEFORE THAT AND I LOOKED OUT FOR YOU FOR YEARS,CORDELIA!FOR YEARS!"I stumbled away."How?You didn't even know me until you came here and I barely saw you!"

"It was your fourth birthday.You and your family came to Italy,to our house!My brother got annoyed by you and pushed you.You hurt your knee and you still have a scar!"

I looked down at my scar on my knee.It was so little,I don't even remember how I got it.But he does."Your parents had forgotten it was your birthday and I got you a cake.You had a wish."

I remembered."I wished for you to protect me like you did that day.You said you'd make it happen."I sighed."That was 20 years ago.I'm going to be 24 in three months!"

"I've been holding my promise good,so far!I'm not going to let your fucking brother ruin it!Now,go back to your brother."A black car pulled over.

"Go back to your brother,tesoro.""Why would you hold a dumb promise you made to a four year old?"

"Because that four year old is far too interesting to let go of."He got in my car and drove away.I got in the black car and they took me back to Damien.
