Third P.O.V.
So Mi Young woke up the next morning a little confused.
Why do I think I'm forgetting something?
She looked around her hotel room dazed and that's when it struck her! Woo Bin! They were having a movie night and she couldn't recall anything after the first 30 or so minutes of the third movie.
Damn, I really fell asleep on him! And he cleaned everything up before leaving. Such a gentleman.
She was feeling giddy at the thoughts of him until a thought came.
Why am I feeling like this? He's just a friend. That's not how I should feel about a friend! Maybe it's because I'm spending too much time with him. Yes, that's it! I'll just spend this day away from him. I can't develop feelings for anyone. Especially him.
My brother's best friend.
With her mind set on keeping her distance from the boy, she got ready for whatever new adventures the day would bring.
So far this trip has been more magical than Mi Young could've ever imagined. She was glad that Yi Jung had managed to find such an amazing family with these people since his was so messed up. And all of them being so welcoming towards her never failed to make her feel all warm inside.
There was a knock on her door and she found Ga Eul and Jan Di standing outside.
"Hey, good morning!" Mi Young smiled at the girls. They smiled and greeted her back.
"We're having a girls' day today so we came to pick you up!" Ga Eul grinned at Mi Young. The younger girl smiled at her before grabbing her things and heading out with the two.
The girls had the full day planned. Their first stop was a fun dance exercise class at the resort's Gym. Something Ga Eu had always wanted to try. The three had fun trying to keep up with the instructor and laughing each time one of them completely failed at the task.
After the class was done, they took a quick shower and went off to the car they had hired. They had decided to have breakfast at a cafe that Jan Di had really liked the last time she had been there with Jun Pyo.
The girls arrived at the destination and GaEul and Mi Young immediately loved the interior along with the ambiance of the place.
The girls got to know each other better as they enjoyed a nice breakfast. The conversation flowing between the three as if they had known each other for years. Not even for a second did Mi Young feel left out or awkward.
The stories seemed to be endless as Mi Young struggled to intake what the group had gone through in order to be with the ones they loved. Jan Di passionately narrated all that had happened between Ga Eul and Yi Jung.
Mi Young found her admiration for her brother's girlfriend growing. How the girl had done so much for Yi Jung. She even went to lengths to try and reunite him with his old love despite being in love with him herself. Mi Young didn't think many people could be that selfless and was glad that the couple got together.
She was incredibly proud of how Yi Jung had grown out of his hurt and embraced love again. She had always prayed for him to receive all the love in the world for all the love he had given to her throughout her life. The thought brought her eldest brother in her mind but she shook it off, knowing somewhere inside of her that she was indeed part of the reason So Il Hyun had abandoned his family.
She had always wanted to question Yi Jung about it but never got around to it because the truth was, So Mi Young was scared. Scared to know the reason behind her being abandoned in a foreign country for 10 years never allowed to come back. Not even for a visit. Scared to know why her Father never once spoke to her more than twice in those years. Scared to know why her eldest brother never acknowledged her existence for as long as she could remember.
It seemed to her that Yi Jung had all the answers but she was too afraid to ask the questions. Afraid of what might be revealed. But she still trusted her brother more than her irrational thoughts. If there was something that she should know, she was sure her brother wouldn't hide it from her because he had always shared everything with her, even when they were miles apart. And it was him who had brought her back.
Once Yi Jung had successfully taken over the family business, he had asked her if she'd like to come back to Korea and Mi Young said yes in a heartbeat. Even though everyone else had abandoned her, her brother had remained by her side always and she had faith that he would never hide anything from her.
With these thoughts easing her mind, she continued enjoying her time with the girls. They were supposed to leave tomorrow and she wanted to enjoy this getaway without anything bothering her.
The girls' day continued with shopping where they met with the guys and then a relaxing spa session which Mi Young was most thankful for.
Their last night on the island was beautiful as the group had dinner together and a bonfire night at the beach.
As the group laughed at something, Mi Young looked around at the bright faces surrounding her and felt a sense of warmth settling in her heart. It seemed that coming back home was a good idea.
She just hoped that nothing bad happened again.
