The little sister of Yi Jung, Mi Young, comes back home after being away for years. 24 hours after her arrival, trouble comes knocking at the door of So family home, and in a twisted turn of events, the So siblings end up staying at the Song manor.
...
It was 2 AM and MiYoung was wide awake as if it was daytime. She had work tomorrow but she couldn't fall asleep. Why you may ask? Well, the reason was a certain guy.
Staring at her phone with a stupid grin on her face got her questioning what was wrong with her. She was never the giggly-smiley over a text type but somehow this one guy had made her do a 180-degree turn when it came to him.
WooBin had asked her out on a date and she was over the moon! The four days of wait were going to be the longest for her but that gave her time to go shopping for a new outfit! She thought about how the date would do as she drifted off to sleep.
...
WooBin had been looking forward to his first date with MiYoung for days. They had spent hours talking and laughing on the phone, and he knew he had to take her out. The only thing stopping him was his best friend. He knew YiJung would be pissed if he found out that he had gone behind his back and asked his sister out but that was a problem for another day. Today GaEul had taken YiJung out to help WooBin. She was the one who had encouraged WooBin to ask MiYoung out without worrying about YiJung finding out. This date was to test the water. To see if he and MiYoung could be more. If it ended well, WooBin planned to sit down with YiJung for a long conversation. Something he was not looking forward to but it was important. It was his best friend after all.
As he walked up to her front door, he felt his heart beating faster. He had brought a new burgundy suit for the special occasion and even brought a bouquet of beautiful red roses for her. He hoped she would like them.

He rang the doorbell and waited anxiously for her to answer.
When MiYoung opened the door, she looked more beautiful than ever. She wore a white long-sleeved maxi dress that stopped just below her knees. Her long, dark hair was tied loosely with a white ribbon and she had light makeup on.

"Beautiful flowers for the beautiful lady." He smiled, extending the flowers towards her.
"Wow! Thank you, that's really sweet of you," she exclaimed, taking the bouquet from him. "I'll just put these in water and we can go."
WooBin followed her into the kitchen and watched as she found a vase for the roses. He couldn't help but notice how graceful and elegant she looked. As she turned to flash him a smile, he knew he was a goner. So MiYoung had a hold on him that no other woman had ever had. It confused him sometimes but he didn't mind it.
They left MiYoung's house and the driver drove them to the restaurant as they chatted and laughed along the way. The restaurant was dimly lit and had a cosy, romantic atmosphere. They were seated at a table by the fireplace and MiYoung couldn't believe how perfect it was.
They ordered drinks and looked over the menu, deciding on the perfect meal to share. They decided to start with a salad and then moved on to the main course. WooBin had chosen steak while MiYoung had chosen the seafood platter. They talked and laughed throughout the meal, and the conversation flowed easily between them. It was nothing short of perfect and both could feel themselves falling deeper for the other.
After dinner, they decided to take a walk around the city. They strolled hand in hand, taking in the sights and sounds of the night. They stopped by the Han River and sat on a bench, looking out over the water.
"I had such a great time tonight, MiYoung," WooBin said, looking into her eyes.
"Me too, WooBin," MiYoung replied, smiling. "I never thought my first date would be so perfect. Thank you."
He looked at her surprised, "First date?!"
She chuckled, "Did you forget the fact that I was in a girl's boarding school?"
"Still you must've met people when you went out."
"True but to be honest, I never liked anyone enough to want to go out with them."
"That means you like me a lot." He grinned cheekily causing her to blush.
"Maybe I do." She said shyly as she looked around trying to avoid his gaze.
WooBin, feeling bold, took MiYoung's hand and led her to stand. He gently put his hand on her cheeks and looked into her eyes as he whispered, "That's good because I like you a lot too."
MiYoung felt her heart flutter at the words and she smiled shyly.
With that, WooBin leaned down and kissed her. It was a soft and gentle kiss, but it felt like fireworks were going off in their hearts. They held each other close, looking up at the stars and feeling like nothing could ever tear them apart.
Till a loud voice interrupted their moment. "What the hell do you think you're doing with my sister?!"
WooBin turned to see YiJung standing behind them with a look of anger on his face. Before he could even react, YiJung had lunged forward and punched him in the face.
WooBin stumbled backwards, his hand going to his jaw in shock. He couldn't believe what had just happened.
"You're my best friend! How could you do this to me?" YiJung exclaimed, his voice filled with rage as he landed another punch on WooBin.
"YiJung, stop! What are you doing?" MiYoung cried out, trying to pull her brother back but her brother pushed her aside and continued to attack WooBin, who tried to calm him down.
"YiJung stop it! Let's just talk about it, man!"
But YiJung wasn't listening, his anger and protectiveness for his sister clouding his judgment. "I don't want to see you around my sister again," he growled, pointing a finger at WooBin.
People started to gather around, attracted by the commotion. MiYoung was crying, her face in her hands, and WooBin was on the ground bleeding.
A police officer witnessed the incident and quickly separated the two men. WooBin was taken to the hospital with a broken jaw, while YiJung was arrested and charged with assault.
WooBin and MiYoung's relationship was over before it had even begun, and their friendship was also ruined. WooBin knew he had to live with the consequences of his actions, and he couldn't help but feel guilty for what had happened. He couldn't believe that one kiss could lead to so much destruction.
He had thought that this would be the start of something special but in the end, it had turned into another disaster, much like the rest of his life.
