Third P.O.V.
"Guys, I can't swim!!" MiYoung screamed as her best friends tried to drag her into the water with them.
The guy laughed holding her hands even tighter, "We know, that's why we're doing this!"
"Not fair! Tris!! Stop him!" Mi Young whined but her best friend just laughed as she too joined the guy in getting Mi Young into the water.
"Zayan please!" MiYoung shrieked as the water touched her foot and the boy, Zayan, shook his head.
"Sorry, shorty. No can do. You need to overcome this fear of yours. Just stepping in the water will not drown you. Just relax and try to enjoy the feel of water on your feet." Zayan let her hands go and held her shoulder to ensure she doesn't fall.
Knowing that he was right MiYoung gave up the fight and held both of their hands and asked them to lead her.
They both smiled at her and started walking along the shore with her in between.
"You need to learn to let go of things MiMi," Trish said as she turned to look at her.
"She's right you know," Zayan interjected from her right. "You need to let us go MiYoung. You need to talk about it and move on. It's been a year."
Tears streamed down MiYoung's face as she struggled to hold in a sob, "But it's not fair. Why did you guys leave me? Why did you have to go?" And that's when she broke down.
For the first time since the passing of her best friends, she cried her heart out.
So YiJung woke up to a strange sound that sounded like a scream. He waited, listening attentively to his surroundings. Just when he thought it was a fragment of his imagination, he heard it again.
He immediately jumped out of his bed and ran towards MiYoung's room after grabbing his phone. He opened her door and let out a relieved sigh when he saw no physical danger in the vicinity but the relief was cut short when he heard the sound of sobbing.
"Dongsaeng," he called out softly as he stepped closer to her.
The sight was gutwrenching for him. MiYoung was crying in her sleep. Crying wasn't the right word for it. She was full-on wailing and YiJung panicked. He tried waking her up but no matter how hard he tried, she wouldn't wake up and she wouldn't stop sobbing. All she kept on repeating was 'Please don't go, 'Don't leave me alone'.
At this point, the boy was scared. He couldn't calm her down or wake her up and so he called GaEul. He explained the situation hurriedly and asked what he should do. GaEul calmed him down and told him to just cuddle her and try soothing her with calm words.
YiJung did just that. He sat on the bed and pulled MiYoung into his chest as he hugged her tight, "It's okay MiYoungie. Hyung is here. You aren't alone." He kept on saying calm words to her as he rubbed her back in a soothing manner. For him, it was the longest hour of his life. He wanted to take her pain away but all he could do was helplessly witness it.
Eventually, her sobs turned into silent tears and after a few minutes, even those stopped but YiJung didn't move.
The room's door slowly opened and in front of him stood GaEul and WooBin. He gestured for them to wait. He slowly got out of the bed and situated MiYoung back in a comfortable position while covering her with the blankets properly.
