Third P.O.V.
The ride to the ice cream shop was spent in the silence between Mi Young and Woo Bin. Just soft music playing on the radio.
As they reached their destination, Ji Hu, who had arrived before them, opened the door for her.
She sent a smile to the white-clad boy, "Thanks."
Mi Young looked around and gasped at the view of the Han River. She ran towards the railing and looked around in amazement.
"This is amazing!" She squealed at the view.
Woo Bin and Ji Hu looked at each other and smiled at the girl's antics.
Mi Young stood there unmoving, loving the feeling of the cool wind that brushed her face and flew her hair back. She closed her eyes and spread her arms wide as if embracing the wind, a wide grin plastered on her face. Now she felt at peace. She felt at home.
The two boys behind her sat on one of the park benches as they watched her bask in the glorious view that they had become too used to.
After a few more minutes, Yi Jung and Jun Pyo arrived along with their girlfriends.
"Dongsaeng!" Yi Jung yelled to get his sister's attention.
Hearing his voice she turned and walked towards the now complete group.
"This is Chu Ga Eul," Yi Jung introduced gesturing towards the sweet-looking long-haired girl.
'At least she doesn't look fake', Mi Young thought as she bowed at the girl, "Hi, I'm So Mi Young."
"And this is Geum Jan Di," Jun Pyo introduced as he pushed the short-haired girl forward. She shook her hair out of her face and shot a glare at her boyfriend before turning around and bowing to Mi Young.
Mi Yung laughed at the interaction, "It's nice to meet you! I bet you keep this silly one in line."
"Hey!" Jun Pyo yelled offended while Jan Di nodded looking quite proud.
The group headed into the ice cream shop and got their respective orders before heading outside to enjoy the night scenery.
The smile on Mi Young's face was stuck there as she got to know the group and their antics over the years but a bigger part of her couldn't help feeling sad at the fact that she could've shared the same memories with them if her father had cared enough about her. She wouldn't have had a lonely life if he had never sent her away and with those thoughts came the memories that she never wanted to recall.
She shook out of her thoughts and focused on the conversation that was going on.
From what So Mi Young could tell, Geum Jan Di and Chu Ga Eul were very genuine, sweet, fierce, and loyal girls. She was glad that her brother and childhood friend had managed to find someone who wasn't with them for their money.
It was 12:15 AM when the group decided to head home. Song Woo Bin was again tasked with driving So Mi Young home, not that he minded though.
"Are you always going to get stuck as my designated driver?" Mi Young asked playfully as he opened the door for her.
Woo Bin grinned cheekily, "Maybe. Not that I mind being stuck in a car with a beauty." He winked at her as he closed the door and went to get in the driver's seat.
Mi Young blushed a little at his reply and nervously laughed it off.
"So, how was your first day back?" Woo Bin asked once they had been diving in the silence for a while.
"Perfect," she smiled as she thought about the day. It was the most fun she has had in a long while and she couldn't wait to see what the upcoming days would bring.
Soon enough, Woo Bin parked in front of the So family home. As Mi Young went to open her door he stopped her and quickly got out of the car. He went towards Mi Young's side to open her door.
"You don't always have to do that." She said with a small smile on her face as she got out of the car.
"But I want to," Was all he replied with and her smile grew bigger.
'He sure did grow up to be a gentleman,' she thought.
"Go in now. I'll see you later."
Mi Young nodded, "Okay. Good night Woo Bin."
"Good night Beauty."
He got in the car and waited for her to step in through the door before taking off.
As he drove, Song Woo Bin couldn't get Mi Young out of his mind. Maybe it was because she had never minded his overprotective nature when they were young. In fact, she had always welcomed it.
Woo Bin had always been protective and possessive over his friends ever since he was a child. He had always been the big brother figure who had looked out for all of them all through their youngest years to now and the F4 and Mi Young had never minded it, unlike his ex-girlfriend.
She broke up with him because she couldn't take his consideration and kindness anymore. She found his constant affection suffocating and that had crushed Woo Bin's heart. But he couldn't change who he was. Growing up in the environment that he had, his kindness was the only thing that had kept him anchored to an honest life. So he moved on rather than waiting around for her to come back, a task which his brothers had helped him with and he couldn't be more grateful.
Woo Bin's train of thoughts was broken by his phone ringing. He scrunched in eyebrows in confusion when he saw the caller ID. So Mi Young.
He answered the phone while keeping his eyes focused on the road, "Hello?"
"Woo Bin! Help!" Screamed Mi Young as a loud noise was heard in the background.
As soon as the plea hit Woo Bin's ears, he hurriedly checked the rearview mirror before spinning the car back in the direction he was coming from.
"Mi Young! What happened?!" He shouted, panic clouding his mind.
But no reply came. He drove even faster and called his number one contact on speed dial.
"Get to the So family home right now!" He yelled at the phone before stuffing it in his jacket pocket.
His grip on the steering wheel tightened as he broke the speed limit.
'Hold on Mi Young, I'm coming.'
