"You okay bro?" Woobin asked Yijung as the latter sat in the F4 lounge with his head in his hands.

He let out a frustrated sigh and shrugged, "I honestly don't know man. Ever since MiYoungie shared her story I've been feeling weird."

"Weird how? Are you sad about what happened, angry about the aftermath, or disappointed that you could never tell she has been through so much?" Woobin asked as he sat next to him, focused on trying to walk his best friend through his feelings.

Yijung let out a sigh shrugging again. "All of them but most of all, I feel like a failure. My dongsaeng went through so much and I wasn't there for her. Heck, I never even for a minute thought something was wrong. I must be the worst big brother in the world."

Woobin shook his head as he put a hand on Yijung's shoulder, squeezing it comfortingly. "You can't think like that. She probably never told you because it was still too fresh. She must've been in too much pain to relive it so soon. It's a natural instinct to want to block out the trauma one has experienced."

"But if I was a better brother to her then maybe she would've opened up to me and leaned on to me when she was grieving."

"It's not always that easy. You should know, you've been carrying a secret yourself." Woobin gave him a look that caused YiJung to avert his gaze. "A secret that can never see the light of the day," he muttered, but Woobin was able to catch it.

"Wait, what do you mean? Didn't you say you would tell her after her birthday?" Woobin asked shocked.

"Not anymore. She has witnessed enough pain to last a lifetime, I wouldn't subject her to more."

Woobin looked at him with a severe look on his face, "Yijung, you have to. You can't keep hiding this from her."

YiJung shook his head, "I can and I will. No one knows of this except you Woobin-ah. MiYoung can never find out the truth. Okay?"

Woobin let out a sigh still thinking it was a bad idea. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

"I have no other choice," sighed YiJung.

Woobin shook his head as he put a hand on his friend's shoulder, "You do. You can tell her. She's old enough to take it."

"No! She can't know the truth!" He shouted, "It'll shatter her. And most of all, she'd hate me." He ended in a whisper causing WooBin to let out a sigh. "She's your little sister So YiJung. She loves you too much ever to hate you."

"She will. Once she finds out the truth she will."

The two best friends sat there lost in their own thought. The brother with the weight of the secret he's carrying heavy on his shoulders and the other with emotions more conflicting than ever. Everything was ready for his departure which was a month away but after all that he had learned about the girl he was in love with he couldn't muster up the courage to leave. Not when the real culprit behind the attempted kidnapping was still at large.

The girl he was in love with... It was wrong of him to think of MiYoung that way but he couldn't help himself. He had been in love with her since he was 8. He had thought his feelings were gone but he was proven wrong the moment she had stepped into his sight that night. All it took was a smile and he fell for her again. This time harder than before. She was too good for someone like him but the heart wants what it wants and his just wanted her.

...

"Where are we going?" MiYoung asked as her brother suddenly decided to kidnap her from her room.

"Don't talk, walk. We need to meet the others ." He replied as he pushed her shoulders and forced her to walk.
