Chapter 2

So Mi Young's P.O.V.

We arrived at the restaurant and I started to feel butterflies in my stomach. It has been years since I've last seen them. So much has happened and we all have grown so much. Will we get along now like how we used to in the past?

I guess there is only one way to find out. I took a deep breath and clutched Yi Jung's arm tightly for support. One downside of attending an all-girls boarding school and college is that I hadn't had a lot of male interaction. FML, this is going to be awkward.

A hostess led us towards a private room and I took a deep breath as we stepped in.

Third P.O.V.

There sat three handsome boys that she immediately recognized from the various pictures Yi Jung had shown her over the years.

The boys stood up and made a beeline to greet the girl that had been a sweet part of their childhood.

Jun Pyo, being the competitive person he is, reached her first and gave her a bear hug, "Little Beauty! Look at you! You've grown up so much!" He grinned childishly as he pulled back a little to take a look at her face before hugging her again.

Mi Young felt a grin form on her at the use of the old nickname and the warm welcome she received, "It's so good to see you again Curly!"

Jun Pyo finally let her go and glared at her playfully, "I'll get you kicked out of the country if you call me that again."

"He can try, " Yoon Ji Hu said as he came forward, "but I'll protect you, Smiley."

"Aww, my white knight, " Mi Young cried dramatically as she pulled him into a hug, "I knew you'd protect me from the evil curly monster!" She stuck her tongue out at Jun Pyo on the last part.

"Ya, Yi Jung! Take her back! She became mean!" Gun Pyo whined just like he always did when things didn't go his way.

This led to Ji Hu and Yi Jung attacking Jun Pyo with the sofa cushions of the private room.

"It's nice to have you back, " Song Woo Bin smiled at Mi Young as he softly hugged her.

In his eyes, she was still the little girl that he used to protect from the bullies by beating them up, even though she never knew about the last part.

Mi Young melted in Woo Bin's arms. The sense of protection he used to provide her younger self still as present as ever. 

A loud thud made them pull away from each other and they looked over at the source only to find that Jun Pyo had fallen on the floor while running away from his assailants.

"Are they always like this?" Mi Young asked looking amusingly at the scene before her.

"Worse." Came Woo Bin's reply.

She shook her head fondly at the boys before deciding to help out the curly boy.

Dinner passed by in a flash as the boys brought Mi Young up to speed about all the stuff that has happened through the years. Well, not all but the important stuff like the great Gu Jun Pyo falling in love with 'a commoner', Yoon Ji Hu finally moving on from his first love Min Seo Hyun, Yi Jung giving up his Casanova title for a girl named Chu Ga Eul and Song Woo Bin getting his heart broken by his first girlfriend.

Mi Young looked at the boys dumbfounded, "Since when did you guys grow up this much?! Last time when Yi Jung hyung visited me you were still an immature bunch without any knowledge of the female species! When did all this happen? And WHY THE HECK WAS I NOT INFORMED?" She said the last part loudly glaring daggers at her pathetic excuse of a brother who was sitting on her left on the round table.

Yi Jung chuckled nervously at the murderous glare he was receiving from his sister. He rubbed the back of his neck while shooting a pleading look at his brothers to save him, which they all dismissed, suddenly finding their phones or shoes very interesting.

"What about you?" Song Woo Bin who was sitting on Mi Young's right interjected, snatching the angry girl's attention towards himself. "How have you been?"

Mi Young froze for a second as her best friends' faces flashed in her mind. She quickly shook her head, clearing her thoughts.

"Good I guess. There's not much to tell. It was an all-girls school and college after all." She let out a forced chuckle.

The boys nodded and Yi Jung sent a thankful smile to Woo Bin who just nodded back.

"Shall we pick up the girls and go for ice cream at the shop we used to visit when we were kids?" Yi Jung suggested as they all stood up to leave.

"Yeah, that way we can introduce the little one to them!" Jun Pyo grinned as he took out his phone to call Geum Jan Di.

"Woo Bin, I'll go pick up Ga Eul. Will you take Mi Young with you?" Yi Jung asked as he too took out his phone to call his girlfriend.

Woo Bin nodded and led Mi Young out of the restaurant along with Ji hu.

Woo Bin opened the door of the car for her.

"Thanks," she smiled shyly as she got in. He closed the door before rounding to his side and getting in.

Mi Young watched as Ji Hu got on his bike and put his helmet on before driving off.

"Does Ji Hu still have the driving phobia?" She turned to look at Woo Bin as she asked the question.

"Not anymore but he still prefers his bike over cars." Woo Bin replied as he fastened his seatbelt.

"That's good then," Mi Young nodded absentmindedly as she wondered how tough it must have been for Ji Hu before he came to the age where he could ride a motorcycle.

"Seatbelt," Woo Bin said as he waited for Mi Young to fasten her seatbelt. When he heard no movement, Woo Bin turned to look at her only to see that she was lost in her thoughts.

A grin crept on his face as he shook his head before removing his seatbelt. He reached over and grabbed Mi Young's seatbelt.

She turned towards him startled, only to find his face right in front of hers. Her heart skipped a beat at the closeness and all she could do was stare into his deep brown eyes. She sat there frozen as Woo Bin pulled the seatbelt across her and buckled it in.

She let out a deep breath once he moved away from her. Her heart felt like it was about to burst out of her chest and she was too startled to even utter out a small thank you. She had never been this close to a boy before and being so with Song Woo Bin did strange things to her heart.

What she didn't know was, the boy next to her was just as affected as she was.
