Chat landed on Marinette's balcony, opening the trapdoor and jumping in. He settled Marinette in her bed and tucked her in before kissing her forehead and turning to leave.
When he was about to jump out, he felt a tug around his waist and looked back to see a half-asleep Marinette holding onto his tail.
"No, stay. Don't leave me," she mumbled, her eyes practically closed.
"But aren't you afraid I'll do something to cross your boundaries?"
"I trust you, Kitty. Now come here. I want to snuggle." She must have been more tired than he thought.
"Okay . . . if you're sure . . ." he said uncertainly. He didn't want to do anything that would cause her to get upset with him.
"Come on," she whined. "I need your cuddles."
He settled down next to her and she made herself comfortable on his chest.
"G'night, Kitty," she whispered.
He wrapped his arm around her and closed his eyes. "Good night, Purrincess." He placed a kiss on her head before falling into blissful dreams of dates with his Princess. That night, Adrien Agreste slept far better than he had in years.
