Chapter Forty One - Putting the pieces together

Thea was feeling better so I was back at work. Though my mobile was on loud just in case. Neal and Peter entered.

"Where are we?" Peter asked me

"Jones and Diana fed the algorithm from the Exodus file into the computer and accessed the randomiser." I informed them

"What did you get?"

"Nothing yet. We're working on decoding the Data, but it takes time" I answer

"Well we know the panthers are targeting that's arriving at an airport." Peter sighed

"That could be anything. On a daily basis, you got everything from jewels to currency, to valuable documents going in and out of airports" Neal added making me nod in agreement

"So we don't know what it is or when it's happening or at which airport." I summarised

"We do know that the Panthers have gone underground." Peter stated

"I could try to draw them out." Neal offered but Peter shook his head

"no, it's too risky. Keep working on the algorithm, that's our best shot at figuring out what they're up to" I nod and leave to go do my job

I was called over to the Burkes, when I arrived, Neal and Mozzie were already there.

"Now, Kara's here." Peter gestured to me "Anyone else coming?" he wondered

"Hey." I kissed Neal's cheek "So what's going on?" I ask

"Mozzie has a wife and she's back in town asking for a divorce." Neal summarised. My eyebrows furrowed "Yeah I'm just as surprised as you are."

"You all know I'm not a meddler, but Eva has left me no choice." Mozzie took the plates over to the table. I so badly wanted to make a comment about him meddling but I decided against it.

"Moz, I know this isn't easy, but if she's in love with somebody else, you gotta let her go." Elizabeth advised

"Oh is that your consensus that she's really in love." Mozzie retorted

"Believe it or not, it has been known to happen, Mozzie. Call it old fashioned but it is the people reason marry." I replied

"Has my very existence not opened your eyes to a more complex world." he rebuffed

"You really think she's conning this guy?" Neal questioned as I wrapped my arms around him from behind.

"Of course. It's what she does quite excellently. And what you do with some skill is stop that from happening." he gestured to Peter and i

"You want us to investigate your wife?" Peter wondered

"I want you to stop Eva from hurting another innocent victim" he asked of us

"Yeah, we've officially entered a parallel  world. This is just to bizarre and my brain hurts" I lean my head on Neal's

"Are you sure this isn't about her last innocent victim?" Neal inquired 

"I swear my motives are pure. I've been doing some research. Her marks name is Jack Conroy. President for a charity of at risk youth." he handed over a leaflet to Peter and I leaned in to get a look

"Well it is a bit hard to believe a con artist  marrying the head of a charity is just a coincidence." Neal thought

"The same could be said for us, con artist and a FBI agent, don't knock it." I nudge him "though I will admit the universe making a second one of us is a bit off."
