-Kara-

"Neal George Caffrey are you insane? Why did you steal a window and then bring it home?" I growl. I was stood in his apartment the window

"I didn't know you'd be here. I thought you would be at home." he replied and I threw my hands in the air.

"Neal, you are one more incident away from going back to prison. We both know Peter he will figure it out and then you'll lose everything." I stress. There was a knock on the door. i moved and picked up Thea. Neal moved the window onto the bed and covered it up. The moved me into the middle of the room.

"Coming." he opened it and Peter was there. Oh god

"Hey Peter. Come in." Peter stormed in and I backed up slightly

"I want answers. Kara needs answers." Peter stated as Neal closed the door

"Looking for something?" Neal wondered as I adjusted my hold on my sleeping daughter

"About two million in Gold coins." Peter replied and my eyes fell on Neal

"You won't find them here." Neal shrugged

"You're not that sloppy. I'm sorry for doing this here, Kara but he needs to talk." he looks back at me. "Go out on to the terrace, you and Thea need some fresh air." I nodded slowly and made my way outside closing the door. Thea started to fuss

"It's okay, it's okay baby. Daddy's just been Daddy." I whisper and rock her back in to serene obliviousness. I heard shouting and turned round as it calmed back down. I watched as Neal held out his hands and that was my cue back in.

"Peter please." I breathed

"I'll do the time, but think about what this will do to your life. Elizabeth's, Kara's and Thea's. I did the right thing."  Neal stood taller

"It's not the right thing." Peter put away his cuffs "You are not to leave this apartment, until I say so" he orders then leaves.

--------

Neal is cradling Thea while holding my hand, it's been quiet since Peter left.

"Kara, I know what I did was wrong but I don't regret it. It was my father who put him there and I had to get him out." I didn't answer just nod. For the past three years Neal does the wrong things for the right reason and a part of me should be like Peter and just cuff him but I can't.

"The day that everything changed, your pregnancy, Peters arrest, my fathers cruel and coldness towards me. I asked you something." I knew what he was talking about

"You want to do this right now? When you could be a breath away from going back to prison?" I huff

"Yes because if I do go back. I at least want to know the answer. I gave you time, and during that time, I've commuted and handled lots of crimes and we've become parents. So please at least humour me."

"I would have said yes?" I shrugged "I figured my life has never been normal, why start now." he grinned

"Now answer me this. How did you steal that?" I pointed at the window. "I know Mozzie would have been involved but it's a freaking window."

"Rebecca Lowe. She approached me and was turned out to be sympathetic to my problems and her driven interest in the Codex couldn't let her stop now."

"So she was a distraction. Right." I raised my eyebrows

"I'm gonna take Thea home. Let me know what Peter decides." he handed her over and the two of us left.
