Erin's POV
"Derek, I'm home!" I called out as I entered the house, Blake silently following behind me. The ride home was spent with the two of us asking questions about each other. I've learned that like me, he also doesn't have his parents around. He didn't say where they were, and I didn't press on the subject because I noticed that he's not comfortable talking about them. I made a mental note to ask him again sometime soon.
"In here." I heard Derek answer from the kitchen, followed by shuffling noises. "And a little help will be greatly appreciated sis." He added after a while.
I looked at Blake and he shrugged. We made our way into the kitchen only to be welcomed with an overwhelming smell of burnt food. "Guess you're trying to be the cook again huh?" I told Derek, chuckling.
He was crouched on the floor, scooping burnt meat that were scattered on the floor along with the already black-colored pan. "Yeah. Issy's out with her parents. I'm hungry and..." He said and turned around to face me. He noticed Blake and he frowned. "Alpha Blake. I didn't know you would visit today." He washed his hands and shook Blake's hands.
Blake returned the gesture and smiled. "Well, it's not planned. But I have some matters to discuss with you."
Derek nodded in understanding. "No worries, let's talk in my office. Oh and Erin..." I looked at him and he smiled goofily at me. "Please make some dinner, okay? Love you sis." I rolled my eyes at him and he just smiled again. He walked out of the kitchen and motioned for Blake to follow him.
Blake nodded and turned back to kiss me on the cheeks. "I'll tell him about us. And I'll let him know you'll be living with me from now on." He said and walked out of the room.
"What?" I shouted but all I've got for an answer were his retreating footsteps. What the hell? I'm going to live with him? I mean, I know that will happen but not this soon. I would definitely have an argument about this later with him. With that in mind, I started making dinner for the three of us.
Blake's POV
Erin being my mate means she is now the Luna of my pack, that's why I decided that she needs to live with me. I have to present her to the whole pack and then officially make her a member. I followed Derek into his office thinking of the possible outcomes of the talk that we're gonna have. I know how protective he is of Erin that's why I know he won't let her go that easy. Worst case scenario is he'll contradict what I want to happen and that will definitely break any ties within our packs. I just hope we won't end to that.
Derek closed the door gently behind me once we entered his office. He sat on the chair behind his desk and motioned for me to sit down. I made myself comfortable on the chair in front of him. "So, what's the matter? Is it about Rogues?" He asked.
I cleared my throat. "No. It's about my mate." I answered him and watched him as his face lit up in surprise.
"You found her already? Congratulations Blake." He answered. "So, who's the lucky girl?"
This is it, it's now or never. And I definitely wouldn't take no for an answer. "It's Erin. Your sister."
His surprised doubled. He clasped his hands together and put it under his chin. "I see. So that means you want her to be a member of your pack seeing she's the new Luna. Right?"
I nodded. "Exactly. I want her to come home with me now. I have to present her to the pack as soon as possible."
Derek stood up and walked towards a table. He filled two glasses with liquor and handed me one. "I understand, you know letting her go is hard for me. But being her mate, I know you will take care of her. Right?" I nodded and he continued, "I'm letting you take her, but promise me one thing though."
"What is it?" I stood up so we are now levelled with each other.
"Don't make her cry. Because if you do, I'll get her back." His seriousness implies that he'll really do what he said.
Being threatened made my wolf so angry that I have to control myself and reign him in. "I won't. Thank you." I shook his hand signalling the end of our talk.
A knock sounded on the door and Erin's head peeked in, "Dinner's ready." She announced and walked away.
Derek took my glass and put it in the table. He put his arm on my shoulder and escorted me to the kitchen where Erin was already waiting.
Dinner passed with casual conversations. Erin's pointed looks at me throughout the meal didn't go unnoticed. After we finished eating, Derek excused himself to pick up his mate. After he left, Erin and I were left in silence.
"Pack your bags, we're going." I told her afterwards.
"Who said I am?" She answered with her eyebrows raised and arms crossed. Aw. My mate is cute when she's mad.
"Your brother and I have agreed. You're coming with me." I copied her pose and we stood glaring at each other.
After a moment of a glaring competition, she gave up and threw her hands off in the air. "Fine! But you better send people to pick up my things tomorrow.. And I mean all of it. Got it?" With that, she stomped her way upstairs and into her room.
I smiled to myself at how submissive she is to me. I sat on the couch and waited for her as she get some of her things.
Erin's POV
"Aargh! Stupid mate!" I was fuming as I put a pair of pyjamas in my duffel bag along with my toiletries and other personal items. I may have agreed to live with him, but don't he expect that I will always be this cooperating. He doesn't even show me even a little bit of a sweet gesture. The nerve of that guy. I will definitely make it a personal task of mine to loosen him up. He will be my sweet and expressive mate in no time. I smiled as I thought of it. Yup, I will definitely change him into that. Maybe this "living together" thing will be a good idea after all.
