Erin's POV

"Wake up, sleepyhead!" Blake woke me up the next day by trailing light kisses on my face.

Pushing him away a little, I burried my face on my pillow and coccooned myself on the covers. "Go away."

He chuckled and laid down beside me, "You have to get up babe, you have a pack meeting to attend to." He said while pulling the covers off of me. "I'm presenting you to the pack today."

I got up with my eyes still closed and groaned. "But it's still early, and I still don't have my clothes with me."

He stood up and opened the curtains, letting the light from the sun flood the room. "First off, it's already two in the afternoon so it's not as early as you think it is." He gave me a smug smile.

"It's two already?" I asked him a little shocked and he nodded. Wow, I didn't think I slept that long. "But what about my clothes?"

Blake went over to the door of the closet and answered. "Well, all of your clothes are already in here." He pointed inside. "So you might wanna get ready because the meeting starts in two hours." He winked at me and went out of the room.

I rolled my eyes and got out of the bed completely. Blake seriously has so many personalities, one moment he's sweet, the next he's a tease. I smiled to myself as I made my way to the closet where I found all of my clothes hung and folded neatly. I picked an outfit and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.

After an hour and a half of fixing myself up, I inspected myself one last time in front of the mirror then headed downstairs in the living room. "Blake!" I called out but only met with silence. Where did he go? If he left me here, I'm seriously gonna kill him.

I'm still here babe. You don't have to be so violent. He answered using the mind link.

How did he do that? I'm still not a part of his pack and we're not mated yet. "Get your ass here now mister!" I shouted. He walked in the living room with a half smile on his gorgeous face. "How did you read my thoughts? We're not mated yet."

He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me on the cheeks. "I'm an Alpha babe. When I marked you yesterday, I can already read your mind. When I present you to the pack later, you'll officially be my Luna. You'll be able to read my thoughts including the rest of the members of my pack."

I nodded my head in understanding. "Wait, that means my bond with Peak Midnight will be gone right? Now, I'll have to go to them just to talk to them." Such a bummer!

"Yup, lazy girl." He chuckled. "Let's go, the pack's waiting." Hand in hand, we went out of the house and drove to the pack house.

***

"Everyone, I gathered you all to present my Luna. As many of you heard, I already found my mate Erin." Blake held his arms out and motioned for me to come forward. I got up from my seat and stood next to him and his Beta, Kent. "She was a member of the Peak Midnight Pack before, and now I want you to all welcome her to ours." People applauded and hushed conversations errupted. I scanned the crowd and people with smiles on their faces overwhelmed me. Brick Dawn pack members welcomed me in open arms, and I promised myself to to do everything I can for them.

After the meeting, Blake caught himself in deep conversations with the elders. I excused myself and made my way outside to get some fresh air. The afternoon sun is already setting which casts the sky with a golden hue. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.

"Bored?" Someone asked from behind me. I turned around and saw Kent. He went to stand beside me, both of us facing the vast forest in front of the pack house.

I shook my head and answered. "Nope, I just needed some fresh air. What about you?"

"Well, I saw a beautiful girl all alone outside so I decided to accompany her." He winked and smiled, showing off his dimples.

I rolled my eyes at him and slapped his arm lightly, "You know, hitting up on your Luna is bad. Especially if her Mate is just meters away."

He put his hand over his heart and faked a hurt expression. "Me? Hitting up on you? Girl, my standards are way better than this." He laughed.

"Dick!" I muttered and we laughed together. We chatted for a while and soon after, Blake was walking towards us. I waved at him, but he didn't acknowledge it. What's his problem? I thought to myself.

He stood by my side and placed his arm on my shoulder. "We should go." He muttered and started pulling me towards his car.

"But Kent and I are still talking." I answered him and planted my feet on the ground. Kent was just watching us with an amuzed expression on his face.

Blake let go of my arm and faced me with his eyebrows raised. "I need to get going. Do you want to be left here? I don't think so, so let's go." He asked and unlocked his car with the remote on his hands.

I crossed my arms above my chest and glowered at him. "Fine!" I said and he smiled, "Leave me here!" I said and stalked off away from him and back to Kent.

Blake growled and got on his car. He started the engine and was about to go but stopped for a minute. Okay fine, you win! I'm getting John to bring your car here. And be home before 9. He said through the pack link. I smiled and waved at him while he drove away. He waved back with a slight smile on his face and honked once then drove off completely.

"What was that about?" Kent asked with a frown on his face.

I laughed and shrugged. "Well, I think the Alpha's a little obedient today."

Blake's POV

Get Erin's car and bring it to the pack house. I told John while parking my car in the garage. Erin really is a stubborn one. But I can't help but indulge in her every whim. It doesn't matter if she bosses me around, but just not in front of the pack. I let it slide this time because Kent didn't understand our exchange through the pack link. I know he's slow enough to even understand what happened.

I went inside the house and started making dinner. I was halfway through when a car parked outside. The door opened revealing my beautiful mate. "You're home early." I told her while wiping my hands on a towel.

She sat down on one of the bar stools and shrugged. "I've got nothing to do there. What's cookin' good lookin'?" She asked and wiggled her eyebrows while eyeing the oven.

I shook my head and laughed at her corny punchline. "Roasted beef." I put it out of the oven and she strated preparing the table. After we ate dinner, she put away the plates in the dishwasher. "So, I was thinking.." she said after she finished "I should go back to work."

I looked at her and noticed the twinkle in her eyes. "What was your work anyway?" I asked not knowing what her job is. I held her hand in mine and accompanied her to the living room. We sat on the couch and I led her to sit on my lap.

She hooked her arms on my neck. "If you promise to let me go back to work, I'll take you with me." She winked at me with a goofy grin on her face.

I kissed the tip of her nose. "Fine. But if it's something I don't approve of, you're not going back. Got it?"

She thought about it for a second and nodded her head eagerly. "Okay Dad!" She laughed and got off my lap then ran upstairs.

So my mate wants to play? I asked her and followed her upstairs. She just laughed as a response. This is going to be an interesting night.
