Levi's thoughts will be underlined
Levi is a 23 year old, unemployed, depressed man which may not sound like a great catch but beneath his cold demeanor, money problems and mental unstability, which let's face, all of us have, he was a deeply caring, loving and ambitious person. He was majoring in Art History before his life came crashing down. He was now looking for a job to get himself back together by doing something we wasn't very fond of: asking for help, to no less than his ex-boyfriend, Erwin. It had been a decision made after being kicked out of his apartment for lack of payment and finding himself in the street. As if he was in a movie, rain came washing down all the pride he had left, or at least, that's how he saw it.
So he walked in with the only possessions he had left inside a black leather crossbody bag. As he came he turned in his job application and noticed a young handsome brunette throwing coffee on a costumer.
They'll hire anyone here, must be 'cause his kind of cute...
Weeks passed until he saw the brunette again but as soon as he came in for his first day of work, he was immediately there to greet him
"Hey, so you're new here?" Eren asked with a smile
Please don't talk to me unless you fucking have to.
"Are you my boss?" Levi replied, idicating that unless he was he did not wanted to be addressed
No, not really"
Exactly, now leave me alone you beautiful idiot Levi thought
"I guess I'm a step below, I just deliver the coffee, don't know how to make a proper cup, more of a... milk guy myself..."
He's awkward af, I kind of like him tho... Why is he looking at me? Nope, I can't. I'll just leave, see if he can take the hint that he should stay away from me
Levi inspected Eren by looking him straight in the eye and then he left. Leaving Eren talking to himself.
"Talk to you later then..."
The day went by and he began with his chores, he was glad that at least he was making coffee and not wiping tables but Erwin had also graced him with closing the shop which didn't make Levi too happy. While he was getting ready to leave, there was someone left besides him, a certain brunette boy.
"Are you leaving? I'm closing up" Levi asked calmly
"Oh... yeah but why are you closing? Aren't you new?"
Can't he stop it with the questions?
"I know the owner so he trusts me, not that it's any of your business, really"
"Sorry"
Levi realized he had been a bit too harsh
"Oi, before you leave, let me make you a cup of coffee, most people don't like coffee 'cause they're always drinking that shitty instant stuff"
What are you doing, Levi?
"Oh, thanks, I didn't thought you'd heard me"
"I did, I'm just quiet"
"Yeah, I'm pretty quiet myself"
"Really? Whenever I bump into you, you don't seem to shut up"
"Sorry" Eren replied with a shy voice
"You say sorry too much too"
Eren stopped talking for a while which made Levi even more nervous than when he wouldn't stop blabbering.
I think I hurt his feelings...
"There you go"
"Thanks"
"Okay, this is actually very good"
Of course it is
"Don't sound so surprised. Let's go now" Levi replied firmly
They both exited the store and Eren stood there awkwardly, Levi started walking right, which was the way Eren was going, so he followed.
"Where are you headed?"
"You're nosy"
"I just don't want to walk awkwardly behind you if we're going in the same direction"
Understandable.
"Downtown"
"Ok, me too, so do you mind if we walk together?"
I actually don't mind...
"It's fine just don't talk"
Levi was starting to get used to Eren's overly excited personality and despite thinking he was sort of annoying he thought of walking home together as the start of something good he just couldn't figure out what.
