Everything was going wonderful between our two lovebirds, Erwin hadn't gone to the coffee shop as often, at least not on the weekdays which are when both Levi and Eren work. At this point all their coworkers knew they were together and of course teased them about it.
Levi was still his serious, sarcastic self but he had definitely warmed up to everyone but especially towards Eren. They went out all the time with Hanji and Armin since they all got along quite well amongst each other.
The pair still walked home together but now they normally went to Levi's apartment, ate crappy Chinese food, watched a movie and Levi made coffee.
"Since you hated the espresso I'm guessing you're more of a cold brew type, kind of basic but still..."
Eren was laying on the couch, frowning and ignoring his task which was supposed to be picking the movie
"Hey, Levi"
"What 's up?"
"My family is planning a trip for Christmas but I was thinking we could do something just the two of us before I leave, you know like a date?"
"Sure, I mean I hate them but at least to make it different we should watch Christmas movies and switch from Chinese to turkey" Levi replied calmly
"I love our weekly dates but I was thinking of something more... elaborate but wait, why do you hate Christmas movies!??"
"They're too happy and unrealistic, but the one by Chris Columbus where the child is home alone, at least that one has got some action"
"Home Alone?"
"Yeah, the one where the parents forget their child, that's way more realistic"
Eren laughed and pulled Levi in the couch with him
"Home Alone, that's the name of the movie and I'm quite impressed you know the name of the director" Eren replied impressed
"Well I learned from the most annoying and insistent movie nerd"
As Eren laughed, Levi snuggled in his chest and ruffled his hair
"Anyways, I was thinking of something special, like going to the Christmas village by the park"
"Remind me again, are you 19 or 10?"
Eren started tickling Levi who couldn't help but laughing but then he got a hold of Eren's wrists and held them above the brunette's head
"Okay brat, I know what tickles you"
Levi leaned into Eren's face but only teased him by brushing his lips against the brunette's and then traveled down to his neck and kissed him there, Eren squirmed and let out a moan
"Okay Levi, I love how you're trying to change the subject but we're still discussing this"
"Ugh, you're a bit boring sometimes"
"Oh am I?"
Eren kissed Levi, immediately using his tongue to deepen the kiss as he held the others head and used his other hand to grope Levi's ass but suddenly he stopped.
"What? Why are you stopping?"
"How needy, I thought I was boring"
"You're not, you keep me very entertained"
Levi leaned in for another kiss, he got up and smiled at Eren
"Hey, if you don't want to do something it's fine, just tell me"
"I want to, but..."
"What 's wrong?"
"Ugh, remember when I got drunk and I didn't want you taking me home?"
"Oh I will never forget that night"
"Oh shut up Jaeger, the thing is that I was embarrassed, okay?"
"Why?" Eren inquired
"Just look at this shithole, and why do you think I eat instant soups 5 out of 7 days? I am broke as fuck."
"Hey I don't care, not one bit, I work out of necessity too, you know that"
"Yeah I know... but you're 19 life is supposed to be a mess"
"Levi, you're talking like your in your late thirties, you're still young enough to figure out want you want"
"Maybe, I don't know, all I know is it's kind of problematic for me that you pay for all our dates" Levi replied shyly
"I don't mind"
"Well I do, I don't want to depend on you like that"
"You can depend on me but I get what you mean"
By now Levi had told Eren everything about his relationship with Erwin, which was the reason Levi felt so troubled. He had allowed Erwin to take care of him to a point where he didn't know how to take care of himself or others.
"Then, how about you organize the date?"
"I don't fucking have money" Levi replied annoyed
"Who said anything about spending money, get creative"
"You're going the right way for a smacked bottom"
(Bit of a Shrek reference)
"For me? Would you please plan this special date? It's very important to me, please Levi"
Eren was looking with wide pleading eyes at Levi which he could resist and despite his answer Eren knew the effect it had on the smaller male from the blush on his face
"Okay okay, just shut up and pick a movie already"
