14. Confrontation

Levi heard keys opening the door and quickly changed the channel he was watching.

"Hey"

"Hi! What took you so long?" Levi asked

"I felt like going on a walk, what are you doing?"

Levi turned to see what was playing on the TV since he hadn't payed attention when he switched channels

"Ejem, Power Puff Girls?"

"That's Sailor Moon."

"Okay, don't get mad, you know how we were watching Harry Potter? Well it was playing on the TV and you took so long it caught up to where we left off and I really wanted to see what happened next"

"Mmhmm, didn't peg you as a betrayer Levi" Eren replied calmly but with pain in hos voice

"Hey chill, it's still playing, we can watch the last two together"

Levi had noticed Eren was being distant and decided to intervene

"What 's wrong?"

"Nothing"

"Come on, I can't read minds, just tell me or I'll get it out by different means"

Levi walked towards Eren and began to slip his hands beneath the brunette's shirt and was about to kiss him when he got pushed away, gently but it was harsh enough so that he could tell something was really off

"Okay, what the fuck?"

"Eren briefly debated if he should say what had been bothering him but the rush of emotions overpowered him and he blurted out what was tormenting him in an accusatory tone."

"That night at the movie theater, when you waited outside in the rain for me, where you with Erwin?" Eren asked, his voice breaking

"What? What the hell are you talking about?"

"Were you with Erwin before you went looking for me?"

"I don't remember, maybe... why does it matter?" Levi replied nervously

What were you doing?"

I don't remember!

Levi looked nervous and Eren noticed.

"So you were with him?"

"Jesus Christ, Eren just what do you want to hear?"

"Did you cheat on me with Erwin?"

"No."

"You promise?"

"I... we weren't really together yet"

"We had kissed" Eren responded with sadness

"Exactly we kissed, we didn't get married"

"We almost had sex, Levi!"

"I was drunk!"

"So you told me that you were falling in love with me just so that we would fuck?"

"No! You're twisting everything up and we didn't even fuck, okay?"

"Maybe that's why you were so distant the next day..."

"I DIDN'T EVEN REMEMBER ALL OF THAT!" Levi snapped

"Yeah, apparently you forget things easily, just how many times have you forgotten about me and went fuck Erwin?"

Levi was now deeply hurt by everything Eren had said and lost control of all his emotions, tears started running down his face.

"Get out."

Eren's face had changed, he could see he had been carried away and hurt Levi.

"Levi... I..."

His voice softened but he realized it was too late and he needed time to think, so he left.

NOTES: I didn't make Eren look to good on this chapter but he is hot headed, even in the anime/manga
