LOKI'S POV
I find myself on Midgard once again, and once again, not of my own volition.
Odin had declared that once my mind was cleared of all outside control, I was to, as he called it, 'clean up my own mess' by helping the Midgardians who called themselves 'The Avengers', alongside my brother, Thor.
And as much as I despise having to help such insignificant creatures, I have accepted responsibility for the toll I had on their world and though I cannot say that everything I did was completely under mind control, as I do not care for Midgardians, nor do I feel compelled to help these dull insignificant creatures; I have been tasked with making amends.
Though I still believe my intention to rule them was legitimate.
Now, I, Loki the God of Mischief, Prince of Asgard, and rightful king of Jötunheimr, find myself having to redeem myself by helping these creatures...it's simply inconceivable.
But, alas, Odin presented me with a bargain. Help Thor protect this puny world which he holds so dear, or be banished to this same world, without my powers and no way to survive. I made my choice.
Do I regret it? I am unsure.
Will I? Probably.

You wake up in a hurry after snoozing your alarm for the fifth time in a row. You know you shouldn't continue to do it. It just makes you late and you always forget something in your hurry to get to work, but in the end, you never actually wake up when you're supposed to.
You giggle as you get out of bed and make your way to the bathroom across your bedroom.
"I tell myself the same thing every night but every morning, the snooze button it is!" You shake your head as you talk to Loafy, your tri-colored corgi.
Quickly, you shower and brush your teeth. Putting your short hair up in a neat low ponytail, you slip on your black trousers tucking in your white-long sleeve button down and head for the door as you grab your black matching blazer and slip into your heels.
At the door you yell back to Loafy, "I'm going to work now. Be good and don't chew on anything today. Ok, thanks!" You say as you lock the door behind you.
It's the middle of spring so you decide walking isn't a bad idea, plus the tower isn't too far from your apartment.
As you walk down the street an uneasy feeling settles in the pit of your stomach, you look around quickly but decided it's simply because you skipped breakfast knowing deep down you've been trying to avoid it for months now, and there are times you wonder what your body could be trying to warn you about.
As you reach the Stark tower you shake the thoughts out of your head and catch yourself looking up at it. You take in a deep long breath and walk in.
You say hi to Tommy, the morning security guard and head for the private elevator.
As you wait for the doors to open, you can hear a group of employees gossiping about a 'new avenger'.
You can hear them saying that they don't deserve to be given a chance and how they wouldn't make it since they are 'a monster' and completely evil, but never once did they mention who it could be.
You can't help but think to yourself. We're all monsters in our own way...some more than others.
A ding snaps you out of your thoughts and you hurry inside as you scan your badge and press the button with the number eighty-five on it.
