It's been about two weeks since you've had to stay in the tower. You've been busy with work and Loki has been going on missions a lot more often.
He had mentioned that he normally wasn't sent on many, so it was a bit surprising when suddenly Steve would have new missions for him that lasted days at a time.
What you found intriguing was that Loki didn't turn down going on the missions like he did the first day after you woke up.
However, since the last mission you're actually glad Loki is with them to keep them safe.
Apparently, the team had been outnumbered and Natasha was under a heavy attack. At one point something went wrong, and Clint couldn't get to her in time, but Loki was able to teleport to her and save her from an explosion.
Clint has been different since. He seems to accept Loki more. Seeing the way they all interact with Loki now versus the first day you stayed after the karaoke bar makes you happy. They seem to accept him in a way. Well except Tony he's still the same.
"Good morning sunshine" you hear Tony yell from the kitchen as you walk into view.
Everyone is here this morning. Wanda and Vision talking with Loki by the kitchen island, Nat is with Clint on the sofa, Steve is sitting with Bucky and Tony by the high-top table Tony had installed when you complained the kitchen was too small for everyone to eat at.
Even Peter is in deep conversation with Thor about pop tarts. Something about which flavor is "superior". You can't help but giggle to yourself.
You say good morning to everyone and make your way over to Loki. He gives you a smile that seems to be reserved just for you as you sit next to him and Wanda.
'How did you sleep darling?' you hear Loki's voice in your head.
'Perfectly fine thank you' you link back to him as you look over the breakfast spread out in front of you. You pick out some waffles with some fruit and a cup of coffee.
You haven't spent as much time with Loki as you would like but at least you still have your nighttime readings.
Every night after everyone's gone to bed, you sneak into Loki's room. You lay together in his bed as he reads to you whatever he happens to be reading, which most of the time happens to be in a different language.
And although you have tried to get intimate with him various times as soon as it starts to intensify, he quickly pulls away. You keep telling yourself it's because he's tired, but you can't seem to convince yourself.

LOKI'S POV
For two weeks I've had to deal with Roger's persistence of my presence on these missions that sometimes take days away from the tower. I do not wish to be a part of them, all I really wish is to stay with her. She on the other hand seems to only want my company at night. I find it quite odd.
The thought of letting anyone know of my courtship is quiet vexing yet I find myself wanting to let everyone know. I feel the need to claim her as mine in front of everyone, and I ask myself why?
Could it be that I know the captain wants her for himself? I've read his mind. He thinks of her often. Not indecently and I am forever grateful for that. I don't think I could contain myself if he did.
I believe that she does not wish for our courtship to be public knowledge, she made that quite clear the day of my lesson. She quickly pulled herself away from my grasp the moment she heard Natasha coming down the halls.
I will not be put in a position where I will show weakness. The nights I spend at the tower are spent with her. She slips into my chamber where we simply lay together as I read to her.
She seems to enjoy the readings in Asgardian the most as she will normally try to stay awake longer. She also tries to seduce me into copulating and as much as I want to have her again, to explore her body with my hands and lips, I will not give into temptation.
When we spoke about what we meant to each other, I informed her I saw her as my consort. However, it was not until after that I realized she never advised me of what I was to her.
I so stupidly confessed my intentions but did not get an answer of my own. I will not make that mistake again.
So I refrain from giving into temptation. Maybe then she will finally admit what she wants. For now, here we sit, enjoying our breakfast as she smiles at me as if I was her favorite person.
It's easy to get lost in her joy. Once she comes to her sense and realizes that a God such as myself cannot be kept hidden the way she intends we shall be able to move on.

After breakfast you go back to your room and get dress for work. As you are trying to decide between a dress, or a pant suit you smell him.
"You know just because you can teleport doesn't mean you can sneak up on me" you say to him as you turn around and find him sitting on your bed smiling at you.
"Well darling, if we are to be kept a secret, teleporting is the best option" he says raising his eyebrow.
He's been doing that a lot lately; he throws gabs at you about keeping him a secret, but you just try to ignore it and today isn't any different.
"Well, in that case will you be able to teleport to my office later? We can have lunch together." You say as you walk over to him and stand between his legs as you place a soft kiss on his forehead. Loki looks up at you and smiles as he nods.
About 20 minutes later Loki has left to train and you find yourself headed to your office in the pant suit Loki conjured up for you. Funny for someone who is trying to keep what you guys have a secret, he isn't so secretive.
He dressed you in a suit similar the one he wore for your first date. Well, you're only date if you're being honest.
Dark green slacks, green suit jacket and a black button-down blouse. The only thing you were able to pick out yourself were the heels and you're pretty sure that's because he knew you would just wear the same black heels you normally wear.
When you reach the elevator, you see Steve and Tony. You've been trying to keep a distance from Steve since the argument with Loki which turned into a lesson. You nod in their direction.
"Nice choice in colors!" You hear Tony say.
You look down to your outfit, of course he noticed, you think to yourself.
"Thanks, green is my favorite color" you respond to him. You see both of them roll their eyes, you shrug and step into the elevator putting your hand up to stop them from going inside.
"If you're going to be rude, then you can wait for the next one" you say to the pair as you smile and push the button on the elevator to take you to the correct floor.
As your about to step off you get an idea. You swipe your hand across all the buttons on the elevator from your floor down and walk out with a huge grin.
Loki would be proud you think to yourself as you head to your office.
