The Escape Plan

You've spent most of the morning in the room looking over Loki's book. You thought that maybe, just maybe, he would've come by or that he would've brought Loafy back, but you haven't even heard him in the halls.

Wanda said to be patient, but how the hell are you supposed to do that if he doesn't try.

Plus, you shouldn't have to look for him. You weren't the one who practically called him a whore for trying to prevent an argument at one o'clock in the morning! It's not like you didn't let him know what you were doing anyway.

Ugh I don't even want to be here; you think to yourself.

One of the reasons you thought maybe it would be worth it was that he would be around but now...

Five minutes later, you are getting your stuff together and putting everything back in your bag. You find a piece of paper and a pen to write with.

Thank you for the book. I truly love the story.

Unfortunately, it's just that...a story & real life doesn't work out that way

Bye Loki ❤️

You take the note along with the book and hope to God, either Loki's gods or yours, that he won't be in his room. When you knock and don't hear anything, you let go of the breath you had been holding in.

You push the door open and as you walk in you notice Loki had two dog bowls by the door, one with water and the other with food.

You smile at the fact that he had gone through the trouble of taking care of "the animal" as he calls him. And you start to question what you're about to do.

This small gesture meant so much, but you couldn't fall for that. Not again. Loki isn't Rich but you're still you and patterns have to be broken.

You inhale deeply, place the book on the neatly made bed with the note on top and call to Loafy as you walk out of the room. From what you heard this morning, the only ones still in the tower should be Nat, Bruce, Loki and maybe Pep with Tony.

You take quick but quiet steps down the stairs, and don't see anyone. You make it to the elevator and as the doors open you hear Nat call out to you.

You look up to her and run into the elevator to press the door close button. You try to get Loafy to come to you, but he just sits in front of the elevator refusing to get inside.

You then see Nat reach the elevator through the small gap of the doors and hear her as she yells "babe what are you doing?"

Your heart is beating so fast, and you try to get it under control. You think back to the fact that you literally just left your dog but figured you can have Wanda take him back to you.

At least you know Loki will take care of him and so you stand there content with your escape.

LOKI'S POV

I decided to give my princess some space. I've noticed that's what Vision does when he fights with Wanda, which doesn't happen very often. I do not wish to leave her alone, but she was quite angry.

I'll find out why later. After finishing my breakfast and deciding to place her food away for later in case she gets hungry, I teleport to my chamber. I notice her animal is still in here. I conjure up bowls for him and try to read a book.

I do not leave my chamber for the rest of the morning, and I know she hasn't either since I can sense the connection, but I cannot seem to concentrate on anything other than her.
