Meeting abandonment issues Emilia

After a bit of walking. Jack could hear someone yelling. He walked closer to a big temple. "Wake up Subaru, Wake up! Why did you leave! It's because I am so useless" said the voice. Jack opened the door surprising Emilia interrupting her rant. She was holding a body. "Who are you holding? Can I look?" said Jack. "No! I mean sure it's Subaru" she created an ice diamond to attack with then dropped it. Jack was amazed at how quickly her emotions changed. Jack looked at it as Subaru checked the pulse, non-existent. Jack moved Subaru's arm and it was stiff. Rigor Mortis had set in probably earlier than normal due to the temperature. But bottom line she had been clutching this dead body for at least 30 minutes. Jack saw the tears on Emilia's face and there was a consistent stream of them. She looked exhausted. She must have been crying for a while now. Emilia squinted with anger. Jack thought she might try to kill him so he stood up. But then her eyes lit up with joy, Jack could see his reflection in them. "Are you here to save me!" she said with excitement and embraced Jack. Jack thought that's what my mission is. "Yes,'' he said nervously. Emilia hugged him tighter with relief. She felt cold and very cold. Jack hugged her tighter but justified it as Marslows hierarchy of needs, one of those is warmth. If you don't have Marslows needs you go insane or die. But really Jack hugged her because he was scared. He didn't know what to do, he didn't know what was out there or what was going on but it had to be something horrifying. The unknown plus the loneliness was terrifying. Jack felt like he needed a hug from his mom and for her to tell him it was going to be alright. "What is your name?" she asked. "Jack what's yours?" said Jack, letting go of her and getting a hold of himself. "Emelia" Emelia said, shaking his hand. "Have you eaten anything Emelia?" said Jack. "No why?" said Emilia. "Have you slept at all?" said Jack. "No," said Emelia. "how long have you been here?". "Well...I was here all day yesterday I was here today...so two days," said Emelia "Let's go," said Jack grabbing her by the shoulder moving her out the door.

Jack grabbed the heavy kabob sword and walked outside and the boy followed them. As soon as Jack let go of Emelia's shoulder she grabbed his hand and leaned on him. While walking Jack began to process everything. I don't know a lot about Subaru but he clearly meant a lot to her. Because his death has seemed to drive her insanity. That combined with lack of sleep, food, and warmth other than dead Subaru, that's more than enough to drive someone to insanity. She seems to be using me as a surrogate Subaru. Were they lovers, good friends, family? Jack decided to try and prove his suspicions. "So was Subaru like your boyfriend or..?" asked Jack awkwardly. "What is a boyfriend?" she asked "your lover" Jack answered. She started crying "he...he would always save me. All he did was help me. If I wasn't so useless." "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to," Jack said as they walked to a cabin that had light in it. No one was in there but there was a fireplace with fire.
